Absolutely beautiful. Not only does this art take talent and knowledge of the properties of glass but also strength to handle the tools. So impressive. The vases are so beautiful.
This is exactly the thing i would want to do if i had everything settled (a house, a car, enough money, kids). This looks like an amazing hobby! Greetings, Jeff

@@Gibbonsglass sorry that should have said murrine. I let a bunch of system 96 fusing glass fuse into a thin sheet then jelly rolled and reversed it for a nice swirly pattern. Http://th-cam.com/video/dierwolf2000/w-d-xo.html
@@Gibbonsglass hey sorry I didn't get back to you sooner i never saw this. Havent made anything in years but toom it seven semesters in a row at a community college.
How were you able to have a completely different pattern on the blowpipe from from heat to the next? Went from a cane roll up, to a murrini plate rollup like that.
The wall thickness is thicker on larger pieces and thinner on smaller pieces but it can be about 1/4 to 3/8 inches thick. Thicker is easier but thinner makes a larger vase.
My God its so beautiful, divine. I could just sit and watch the process over and over again.
Wow, watching the process for a newbie is like going into a trans, beautiful work, love it 😍
Yes, I think you mean a trance? I agree, very mesmerizing…

Antoinette Perkins thanks so much! It’s a lot of fun and a labor of love.

What is the average wall thickness in the body of vases? How is that controlled?
The wall thickness is thicker on larger pieces and thinner on smaller pieces but it can be about 1/4 to 3/8 inches thick. Thicker is easier but thinner makes a larger vase.
