Thanks for the question. I am just talking about an Audio amplifier and not a preamp or integrated amp, but most seem to have around 25-29dB of gain. You will typically get another 6dB of gain if you bridge the amp to make it a monoblock. The lower gain of the MC240 was not an issue at all with the preamp I used, but could be a problem when using certain preamps I would imagine.
Can you please tell how much gain would be ideal for an audio amplifier?
