Thanks Mychal, You have very interesting interpretations - and accurate - for that time in life when the progressed chart hasn't put what was in "fourth" into cadent "third" so then weakened. And thank goodness for progressions! As the MC and sun in chart progresses 1 degree per year, ~with each Saturn return, we get to move another 30 degrees!!! We get to reflect on our experiences and transform them. Hurray!! While I don't have "malefics" other than the sun in 4, which is how the sun is classically considered, I have Aquarius on the cusp. While traditionally this house is "ruled" by Saturn (and still is), it's also Uranus's reflection on our metaphysical soma. (Please, also consider the entire house system is our metaphysical collective of 'self' inside and out - as in the quantum realm, we are "all one" and timeless- starting with our emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual hu(e)-man collective - which expresses itself in our school, our work, in our community, nationally, and globally). So in my early childhood I moved ~13 times and suddenly for many of them. That gave me the "medicine" of learning how to adapt, pack, and what was valuable in my surroundings that I wanted to keep with me. I organized priorities. Also learned what is, and isn't necessary about school. (I became an MD). This is a thing I can teach to others who maybe had something more comfortable in 4, like Venus or Jupiter, but then are ripped out by calamity (such as by Saturn or Pluto transit/aspect). There are silver linings which we came into incarnation for from which we are here to grow and thrive. Never mind any naysayers or doomsday proponents. We are each perfect - and can become, with (self discipline/ship and heeding our inner voice) excellent. Also consider (con-sider = with the stars), that traditional astrology was developed when there were kings and serfs - not much in between other than tradesmen. From the "king's" perspective, a position he'd do anything to keep, anything that threatened, including suggested the possibility of change (Uranian energy), was considered dangerous and malevolent (that includes messengers with news). The solution for that was to put the subject to death. While we consider ourselves fully beyond this mentality, I'd argue we're closer to that perspective than any version of freedom where we are vibrant and creative. And while astrology has obtained further tools, such as new planets and beyond- such as the trans-Neptunian planets, our society is still stuck at the have and have-not stage and reflecting passe ideas. Worse, is actively inculcating hopelessness. As mitochondrial waveforms, essentially probabilistic clouds of "electrons" in relation to an inner core, we are the embodiment of our astrology. What makes our world shift - is our responses to it. As we each have sun, our fractal self of G-d- which is Neptunian (unpolished - so seems dim and confused- recall Neptune's atmosphere is allegedly full of diamonds - not polished though, you need Mars and Saturn to do that), and we each have Uranus - our individual genius (as defined by aspects to it or to Uranus's cusp ruler), and we each have a moon (how we actually show up) with our ascendant personality, we each have ~infinite potential - though it is specific for each of us. We can change and receive wonderful blessings at any time - so get ready!!! Blessings.
How do figure out where the grandparents are? So for example the mother of the father. Do you look at the placement of the ruler of the 4th house and then count to the 10th house from there?
