      It's a great option when you don't want to leave an expensive camera in the woods. Thanks for watching!

    I purchased a GoPro Hero 11 Black a few weeks ago. I searched on TH-cam for tips on filming wildlife with a GoPro and ended up finding only your channel.

    damn, thank you so much for this. I've been getting ready to buy a camera trap, but now it turns out that I already have one (gopro 11) .

    Superinteresting video. I have used gopros as they are for wildlife filming but it has always been a challenge with power and other things. I wish I had seen this video a long time ago 😄 Thanks for sharing 👍

      Yeah power is almost always the issue it seems. Thanks for watching!

    Great video guys. Didnt know about the software stuff, so will look into that. I've been wanting to get some stuff in my local river for a while, so had figured out some of the same issues (as a diver, the dive weights were my first thought). But that clamp you found for the flat stone looks excellent.
    One suggestion id have (which I haven't been able to test yet), is that for the underwater stuff, you could get a macro lens attachment for one of your GoPro (I managed to get a polar pro switchblade for my old GoPros to test, but there is the flip7 and I think GoPro even do a macro lens of their own now). Then if you know a particular spot, put the two GoPros beside each other, and one can get you the wide angle view, and the macro can allow you to get the real close up stuff. My plan is to use them in rock pools, which are easier to place with an interesting foreground object admittedly).

      Well, I probably represent a significant proportion of your viewers, in that im a photographer who's interested in expanding into film. So, at this point, everything is of interest. What i really enjoy about your videos is the relaxed rapport you have with each other and the clear depth of your experience. Personally, at 60 years old, I have no aspirations to become a professional videographer. However, I do want to create compelling wildlife videos. I'm interested in how you find the story and all the problem solving you undergo to tell the story. The trials and tribulations you discuss in this video are exactly the sort of things I mean.
      TBH, at this point, everything is learning for me.

    Wow - this was excellent! Thanks guys for all the work you put into this and for sharing your hard earned knowledge and experience. Blown away with the quality of the audio on the GP. The Moose vocalizations, for example, were amazing and really added another angle to the scene. Also loved the Dipper sequences.

    Been waiting for this one -thanks for your hard work in putting it together. One thing I appreciate about the set it and forget it style of filming is the way you get more candid footage, shots with only half a head or half a body, animals coming in and going out of the frame. To me, the walk by stuff feels very natural and interesting -but, of course, it always makes me want more :)

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah we're always trying to get natural looking footage and the animal always knows we're there when we are doing long lens stuff, even further away.

    I have a camera trap question😊
    I have my hero 8 set up with the firmware and I’m playing with the app. Seems to be working but the back display stays on. Is that normal. I think I have it switched off in the app settings.

    • @TruthLegend

      There should be an auto off setting in the preferences that should control that. I can’t remember what we used but the screens would shut off.
      Here’s a full list of explanation. Check the options section: gopro.github.io/labs/control/settings/
