Church Hill is a historic neighborhood featuring gas lit cobblestone streets and period architecture, celebrated restaurants and shops, parks and notable landmarks, all within walking distance of Richmond's Downtown. Richmond is now widely considered Virginia's "tallest" city because of many tall buildings in what is Richmond's central business district, surrounding the Virginia State Capitol and many government office buildings. From the 1800s, downtown Richmond was a booming city, one of the largest in the nation, and a major player in the slave trade market. The district now known as Shockoe Bottom was the largest and most famous slave trade market in the entire nation, with people traveling from the South to trade, purchase, or sell slaves.

I didn't know there are such beautiful and cozy streets in Richmond. I've never been there, only heard that it's a high-crime rundown city. The streets look very nice actually.

Such a walkable neighborhood. Where are the people? Looks like Brooklyn, NY, but no people walking around.
@@rizen9457 as someone from richmond, if i'm right this either near or on vcu campus, it'll mostly college students walking, and since most of richmond isn't walkable, people don't usually use the walkable parts as a side effect, hopefully this answers your question :)
