Anyone realize at 3:39 there was a bowl of lemons? And the restaurant is called life? And the next scene they have lemonade so it’s literally “when life gives you lemons make lemonade”
Brianna Diers it’s making a joke off of the saying ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’. The restaurant (life) have them lemons, and in the next scene the lemons are replaced with lemonade
Just so very impressed with the subtle changes in mannerisms each time the waitress approaches the table. Engineer guy for example; He starts off heaving something in his mouth and sitting leaned back in typical high school/college manner, after finishing college he sits up straight, and talk in more of an "adult" manner, after the wife he is that kind of middle aged comfortable and makes small talk about the food, at the end of the sketch he has moved on to a slight hunch, talks slower, moves slower and with purpose and talks about what has been. They all do it, and it is so nice to see them being the same personalities naturally getting older
@Srithor You are accidentally here in the Restaurant of Life you know. No one is really ordering this kind of meal. It is corrupting kinda nice overall menu ;-) But at least, even so you are bad spoiled meal, you left no legacy. Thankfully
This is one of those rare sketches that is more philosophical than funny. The way the ideas are presented really make you stop and think about how your own life is going. The line that always hits me is when Mallory says, "Wait, we're not your last customers. We always thought you'd close once we left."
This is absolutely brilliant. The attention to detail is amazing. Loved the moment she left lemons of their table and in the next scene they were all drinking lemonade, right as they started to accept their lives. “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!”
@@roaring20spennies In India, due to religion, a lot of people believe that they will be reborn after death, whether they are reborn as a human or as, say, an insect, depending on the karma of their previous life. Now, I cannot tell for sure if they are the boys of the novelist who ordered the medium and got a large, or if they are his. He cancelled his order, but I did not see a definite connection (so far) between those 2 boys and either the novelist or the CEO. [Yes, I watched this many times, looking for cool details. The boys look a lot more like the "large" spouse of the novelist, especially haircut. So probably hers. Plus he did cancel the order for a kid and said "I should have spent more time at the office".
I broke down laughing at the end when the one guy said, "Applesauce," and then Natalie responded, "Applesauce does not fit into the world of this sketch, we're being clever so..."

+StephenMeekness I'm a writer too and have been looking for a way to contact you guys other than through TH-cam comments like Matt said. Would we address it to Studio C? :)
I just came across this Studio C sketch at the end of the year 2021. My God, this sketch is absolutely genius. That part at the very end where Matt grimaces toward the kids in the booth behind him with the clock in his hand, such a clever way of stating that either their time will come, too, or that they're living on borrowed time. Could also possibly be a way of hinting at his distaste about how much time the younger ones always seem to have.
I think you guys should do a sequel to this. It was so deep and hilarious. Very true principles! I loved it. Especially when the waiter gave them lemons. Very subtle. Refill please!
Can we just admire that at the end of being middle aged, going into old age they put a bowl of lemons on the table, then they are drinking lemonade in the next scene. Edit: 3:38

Man, every year the ever unknown youtube algorithm recommends this to me, and every year I just enjoy this so much.
This one could definitely use a sequel, for the people at the next table
:)
EDIT: Holy crap almost a thousand people liked did not expect that
EDIT: Over a Thousand people. I wasn't aware this idea was so wanted, hopefulle Studio C sees this
yeah
My new favorite. Love your show.
Emmett Cleere lol
Emmett Cleere totally agree
Emmett Cleere Agree completly
Natalie's acting as a waitress is on point
yes, her writing is....
ON POINT
get it?
...no
It hurt me when they mocked Whitney for choosing english and for being a writer
noone told you the same thing?
@@nithqueen no, around here it's something to marvel at
@Nina Fondaw no, that's the biggest common misconception ever. In Countries such as USA and UK it's actually very very profitable
Also, she became an author of a best selling author in the end.
@@laurahuynh8333 u mean a best selling book
"You'd close when we left" proves that life always goes on
Love how Natalie's name tag said "Destiny", and Jared "Chance" :)
+TheNotSoOldSisters Hehehe ya
+TheNotSoOldSisters Ah, so the cook was Jared - thought he looked familiar . . .
+TheNotSoOldSisters I wish James had a name tag.
"They look spoiled..."
"You actually did that"
*proud happy face* "That's right! Three more, please."
.
.
I wanna be that nana.
Same
Same
You got to have at least 3 or more kids.
The western birthdate is going lower and lower. Meaning only 1 of the three may actually have a kid, while the other two focus on careers or something else.
If you’re poor, that something else might mean prison 😞
Studio C has got awesome actors and wonderfully creative writers. The amount of creativeness...ohhhh my writer heart might explode :D
+Neha Kapoor Are you a writer, too? Send us a sketch if you like! We love idea submissions :)
***** Well its not my professional career (yet) cuz I'm still studying in university. But I'd LOVE to send some ideas. Where can I send it though?
+Neha Kapoor People usually send things to the BYU Broadcasting building. It's pretty easy to find the address online. Sorry I don't have it on hand...
+StephenMeekness I'm a writer too and have been looking for a way to contact you guys other than through TH-cam comments like Matt said. Would we address it to Studio C? :)
***** It's fine. Thanks! :D Good luck for future episodes!! Keep em coming
Lol, did anyone notice that they gave out lemons and then later they had lemonade!!!
When life gives you lemons you make some lemonade lol
At 3:38 btw
Wow. I've seen this more than a few times & I did not notice that.
Matheus Tran ok, good. I wasn't the only one.
yes, yes, that's what I said while watching
And the waitresses name was destiny and the chefs name was chance
This was amazing plz do a 2
The Toy Girl yeah and it will be those teenagers in front
i pooped while in the pool
They have a strict YOLO policy where they only do this once. You would have to go to the Indian restaurant to have another.
She means with new people
TBH, i think they should do an afterlife kinda of deal?
I think you guys should do a sequel to this. It was so deep and hilarious. Very true principles! I loved it. Especially when the waiter gave them lemons. Very subtle. Refill please!
Maybe make it afterlife themed?
+ScoutKirby or mabye the new people
Is nobody talking about how natalie hasn’t aged in this sketch
because she’s “destiny”
Cuz shes Destiny shes not human
SHE
IS
DESTINEY
AND
NOT
A
REAL
HUMAN!!!!!!11111!!!!!!!!
Cuz she’s inhuman she’s destiny. It’s there life not hers. 🤦🏼♂️
At 4:30 the clocks switch from matts to stephens
Bro Perfect oh yeah
OMG!
K
I didn’t even realize that
I guess they were SAVING TIME for eachother 😂
The lemon/lemonade gag is incredible
Whole new meaning to what the Genie said in Aladdin “life is your restaurant”
Can we just admire that at the end of being middle aged, going into old age they put a bowl of lemons on the table, then they are drinking lemonade in the next scene.
Edit: 3:38
Drinking lemonade as compared to…non-drinking lemonade?! Haha
@@awilliams7796I think what the original commenter meant was how the sketch showed the “when life gives you lemons,..” saying.
I just relised that the waiter's name is Destiny. Funny!
And the chefs name is chance
really?
the guy playing the chef was Jared
yes but the dude playing him was jared shores
ya lol
3:59 - "Right at the age when it's least enjoyable." OH YEAH! LOL. Clever writing guys - good job.
3:06 "Sound morals, religious liberty, and a just sense of religious responsibility are essentially connected with all true and lasting happiness." -William Henry Harrison
He may have been America's shortest serving President but he sure knew how to find true and lasting happiness my friends! May God bless you👍🏻
I'm doing quite fine without religion, thank you very much.
I love the subtle detail of her, bringing the bowl of lemons to the table. Cheeky way to reference what life often gives you.
