Thank you for this, it was very informative. Waiting on news from the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission's hearing. I hope it will be resolved soon. Got SLI last month because the valuation was ridiculously low and 1.20 per share didn't make sense to me, but what do I know (the guy who invested in NMG at all time highs, LOL). But from what I understand is that RIO was buying Arcadium for the DLE tech. if Arcadium is worth 5 or 6 billion it seems that SLI could be worth 1 or 1.5 billion. But again, what do I know.
I think NIO will be HUGE though. There is a "standard" for batteries being set in China and "battery swap" is a BIG part of what they are standardizing on. And it make soooo much sense the more I study it. In the US we have 3 grades of gas when you go to the gas station. Battery swap should be the same way if you see where I'm going. When I buy an EV, I don't care to "own" the battery, makes absolutely no sense to me. It would be an unwanted responsibility (conditioning, charging etc.) and hugely depreciating asset.
But the biggest and coolest thing with battery swap (and so many detractors miss) is that you can still "charge" the battery. You can do "both". It's a no brainer. Yes, it's expensive to build out the infrastructure but every "major" industry had to build the infrastructure (Amazon and data center for example).

I love the 8 minute long opening questions lol. They never disappoint in their phantom endings. Just when you think that question mark is around the corner, it’s not 😅

The RIO deal and GM investing $625 in Lithium Americas seems to be a sign that there is forward movement in the lithium space.

Agree! Both are thinking long-term and doing deals at the bottom. Thanks.

Ok. PTSD flashbacks here. When some of them look up or around I have these visions of the start of the Brady Bunch where they are in the grid picture format and look around at each other like they see one another. Have to love it when one dominates lol. Standard though. I love these get togethers. They are informative and provide insight on another level. Thanks.

This is a great video with good content. You are definitely the Rock Stock legends . A SYA/PLL merge could be great news for the sector for sure.

Darko was very complimentary on the Chinese Lepidolite facilities - but one of the main issues with Lepidolite is what to do with the tens of millions of Tonnes of waste product produced. It would be good to get Darko's thoughts and knowledge on how the huge amounts of waste are being handled....and at what cost.

Chinese companies are investing in spodumene rich pegmatite fields in Afghanistan, home to perhaps the greatest rare metal endowment on the planet. The principal Afghanistan pegmatite belt, which spans approximately 900km in length and 200km in width with a SW-NE orientation, contains an abundance of rare metals and strategic elements. This belt is a significant metallogenic belt hosting abundant amount of Li, Cs, Ta, Nb, Rb, Be, Sn, and gem-quality minerals, with an average grade of approximately 1.7% Li2O, around 0.025% Ta2O5 and over 0.03% Nb2O5. It will be interesting to see how this impacts rare metal pricing and supply demand balance.

BESS, EV trucks will exponentially grow demand, let alone full self driving at four times the best human driver rate. Solid state is a decade or more away. You do not need a 1,000 kilometre range. Just nonsense.

Arcadian is a disgrace. Pure bullshit from a Wall Street Banker. We shareholders were really taken for a ride by this Paul Graves. Macquarie had a valuation of $17 on this stock.
