He does no damage before you get animosity though, honestly quite useless earlygame but once you get animosity it’s crazy. Does crazy damage while being tanky. Animosity does magic dmg so the prot shred from demon grip amps it’s damage. Might be risky in solo but it works in joust if you can get to level 15
Masters solo laner here wanted to talk about my different opinions on the starters. Heros axe is much better than you think it has insane stats with the best peeling passive in the game. If you surivive long in the fights you can get 5+ procs of axe which gives your team like 2k extra hp in shields to work with. Imo its by far better than sundering if you find picking up heros axe hurts your damage buy a beatstick or crusher towards the end of your build Randas mask is not completely troll its actually really good on full damage guardians in the solo lane(especially cabrakan which i believe Nika played in the spl). Its not an insane item by any means and its bugged rn meaning it doesnt give you all 5 strength stacks when it should but it does still have niche uses. Good tier list nice keep up the good work!
It may not be competitively a good option, but if you wanna be a tank and zoom real fast war flag and talisman of energy will make you and your teammates zoooom and give attack speed (plus if you're magical you can get Doom Orb)
Want to do a quick comment as someone who's main role is mid lane. Gem of Focus is better than Archmages by a decent margin. Removing how Gem can also be used by solo laners in the event you aren't buying Pendulum in your build you probably have enough CDR in the build to make use of it. Even with how good Pendulum is I still prefer Gem on gods like Janus and Tiamat. Archmages is only really good on like Nu Wa with her ult and Scylla as well with the same thought process of more burst. Vulcan could be an option but his CD's are so low why would you not get Gem of Focus and that goes for pretty much most of the cast when going Conduit Gem as a starter. Outside of funny one-shot builds or Nu Wa ult interaction it sucks. Edit: Forgot about Kuku, Archmages can be good there if you want the extra mana from the item and burst proc on the 3. I prefer it somewhat myself but 20% CDR just hard to pass up not even counting the power from Pendulum. Alt Timeline as well isn't bad. If your snowballing and/or getting hard dove I prefer it. If your getting hard dove thats just more resources they have to use to kill you which opens if your team more, and if your snowballing and get it well, again more resources or you just end the game off of that fight. War Banner is just a case of it being bad in Conq, if I ever find myself playing an AA warrior in non-conquest game modes I prefer it over Deaths Toll since it refreshes on every auto attack giving you a constant stream of HP as long as you are fighting and AS/MS. I've thought of some reworks in hopes of fixing both it and Spartan Flag in conquest since I want to them to be good without losing their current identity.. They are the most interesting support items to me by far they just also happen to be the worst.
I didn't see why energy talisman was put so low but the team wide attackspeed and move speed buff makes chasing and disengaging way easier so it's not useless
Talisman is a great item but other magic defense items are just way better. Heartward glyph, hoops, and the item that gives a percent health shield are just way better magic items
It's like no one reads Rangda's passive or something; you only take increased damage if you don't fulfill the power requirements for the strength stacks. And as far as I'm concerned Archmage's sucks.

I agree completely with Arch Mages,, but the reason rangas is low is because of it's actual starter, not the upgraded version. He's combining the start and the fully upgraded version. Also, his valuations are strictly for conq as this isn't true for other modes. Rangas as a starter blows, and there are much better options. You'll get bm'd like crazy skipping starters in conq until late game. Go full damage guardians in other modes and just buy the upgraded version late game and it's s tier, but it's niche as you lose out on other good starting items by doing this and you're assuming you'll make it late game to do this. Again, I agree though in other modes if you just buy it late game, it's ridiculously good. Also, animosity should be ranked much higher in modes like joust because it can be bought at lvl 15 for gods like Vamana, Ao Quang, and Gilgamesh. Etc and you basically win if this item gets online. Fights that your team lost will now change drastically in your favor. War flag, Talisman of energy, etc should be rated higher in other modes as well. I agree with him mostly in terms of conquest and from the perspective of the initial starter to the point of upgrading it, but it's not accurate for other modes. Keep that in mind
Ik the breastplate glyphs aren't great, but I love that the aura glyph gives Ares +30 power! I can finally make my full aura Ares build and also get full CDR!
Stone of Fal, Stone of Binding, and Emperor's Armor are some items that just a tiny buff can push them. Stone of Binding is one that I'd like a tier 3 but actually afraid of getting it because of how volatile it can be. The only way I could see them making it a tier 3 is by reducing the stats and effect to 20s for tier 2 and raising them to 40s on tier 3 but you run into the problem of doing way too much extra damage. 40% extra damage is a ton for something you can easily proc. Stone of Fal is the top item I want to use but can never fit it in. I think Ao Kuang, Zhong Kui, and Maui make the most out of it with maybe Poseidon (if his stim actually gives him more hits). One thing that could really push Fal is if attack speed was added to it in some form whether it drops the power for it or it adds it to stacks. I think trading the 20 power for 20% attack speed(maybe 30%) might be worth it making it a little easier to stack. I feel Emperor's Armor is missing something. It might be one of those items that could be combined with another one and condense its abilities. I think maybe combining Witchblade and Emperor's Armor would be good. It could have that Attack Speed reduction of Witchblade apply to structures as well with the Attack Speed increase to your structures, also 10%CDR is always nice. Another option would be combine Tyrannical Plate and Emperor's Armor where you could give a buff to allied minions and Structures. You'd lose more with Tyrannical + Emperor's power-wise but gain some more utility.
Emperors armor already reduces the attack speed of the tower/phoenix. Or do you mean combine these two items so it has the aura effect from witchblade for enemy gods and the attackspeed buff for your own towers/ decrease for the enemy towers and so on

nice video, watched the whole thing. learned a lot about the starters honestly, i never really built sigil or thought that highly of bluestone but wow. and i usually build charon’s a lot in like slash but, it seems a better alternative would just be ob shard and myrrdin. also the doom orb not being as substantial as i thought.. overall, learned a lot, enjoyed the watch, and was easy to follow along with. Tbh I think Charon’s Coin is really viable on guardians in Slash or Arena. The MS and hp5 really help out a tanky guardian + the extra damage is great. I think this tier list was made a with conquest in mind though
Tainted steel gives you only 15 physical (the unfinished starter) and has no sustain. No mp5, no lifesteal, no hp5. Plus your damage will be greatly reduced. I would only buy it if I was facing Anubis plus Aphro or something like that. Other than that it's not good at all.
Void shield just bad, lets admit that. Awful stats for 2600g, and passive is not that good, even 15 flat pen would be way better. Just compare void to other phys def items, they all(almost) so much better
I think you underrate heros axe. A shell every 8 seconds is really hard to dive through. Not every solo wants to sit in the backline to get use of it, but you're usually diving with a jungle or a support, and your dive partner will appreciate the shield. Then it can't be underestimated how good it can be to peel as a solo laner.
I agree the item is a lot better late game. I'm not a conquest player but in other game modes like Slash and Assault I just save Rangda's for my last slot. Skipping the tier 1 for a power item rush like Trans or Doom Orb. Works pretty well for gods like Cabrakan/Achilles where you get tankiness from your passive to keep you relevant early game before you get the damage online. The tier 1 is just useless imo but the finished item is pretty amazing.
New to your page, I had a question about the list. Is it more tier based for conquest or an overall tier list for the game ? Main reason for question is because I only play arena and assault. I've been on this game for about 3 years now and I find myself still struggling at times to understand builds. My main is hades with 3 stars 🤣 I would definitely appreciate some help if possible
I think midgardian mail is supremely underrated bc it’s the only attack speed reduction item that will stack with other attack speed reduction. In this heavy hunter meta it’s been over performing for me. Grab that with a horrific and you should be winning every team fight against attack speed heavy lineups.
Just looking into this game having not played since the week of Erlang Shen's release.. just looking at the sheer number of starter items now is melting my fucking brain. Everything is 5x more complex now than it was back then. The list of new shit to learn is ENDLESS :(
LARGE SUPPORT PLAYER RANT: i wanted to ask if you could make a video on your thoughts about the support role and how it could be improved. Personally as a casual support main, more often than not i feel like 80% of my role is just bailing my teammates out for any mistakes they make, even preforming a kamikaze just so my level 17 hunter that apparently taped their W and left mouse-button down doesn't give away their lead. Another thing that bothered me is i don't feel like i have place on the map. the duo lane turns into the hunter lane quite quickly and the jungle is obviously for the jungler, so im often just lingering around teammates sapping their farm. even my support buff is regularly dropped without my presence so i rarely get to take that. some changes id like to make is bringing the support buff closer to lane like back camps and make them easier to kill as a support (supposedly checking if you had a support starter). that way i can get the buff either myself or with the jungler while im rotating between duo and mid lane. Also the little chalice things that spawn in the jungle (forgot their name, the things that fill up the trebuchet bar) seems great for helping me rotate and giving me a small objective. i think something more along the lines of solo lane totem could be nice so i have a personal objective (tho the jungler would probably end up stealing it). Getting my own farm is essentially a core idea id like for being a support because not only could it help supports be less behind but also in my experience while other roles exist with specific objectives and options in mind the support player largely exist to augment other players experience. Take away the other segments of the map and the solo lane for example still has a lane they need to win, a clear opponent, objectives like tower and totems make the experience more like a duel game but if you did the same for support theres really nothing left to do. Thank you for coming to my rant.
You're a support sharing farm is your role, however milking someone is different. Your objective is rotations and keeping an eye on the enemy support. That's my take anyway.
I personally get the alternate timeline on gods like Hera when the enemy team has a god like Thor. That way when Thor Ult-combos me in the backline I can be revived while my team focus and kill the Thor. (Usually around a 30-minute fire giant, then I sell the item and swap it for something different.
Mitigation items really need a few buffs across the board. 9% for a fully stacked tier 3 item (Oni) just isn't good. Same with sigil of the old guard. 17% is great until you realize it does almost nothing against autos because only abilities proc the passive. Nemean just needs to be reverted to give full block stacks.
Might be a hot take but, I think Nemean should be reverted back to where it reflects auto attack damage back to the attacker like thorns does, make it balanced by adding the stacks instead of block stacks its reflect stacks.
In what world is sundering axe actually good, its passive is practically a downgrade from level 20 warriors axe, and you always either upgrade it to heros axe or sell it for something else.

Ok so how is gauntlet of Thebes in s+ but mail of renewal isn't everyone knows its very gold efficient but also is mail of renewal and I often find myself going mail of renewal instead they should both be s+
Sundering axe is actually quite bad. Warriors Axe steals 30 + 1.5*level true damage from the enemy. This equates to 60 true damage late game, which is guaranteed damage/healing no matter the enemy's health. Say you have sundering axe with a total of 300 protections from items now. 2% of 300 is 6 giving you a total steal of 8%. Hitting an enemy at 2500 HP means that this steals 200 HP. However, this 200 is only stolen if the enemy is at full HP which means that at 50% HP you're already only stealing 100 HP, 40 more than Warriors Axe. Obviously you can have more protections than this and the enemy can have more HP but in most cases you're getting about twice the damage out of sundering axe compared to warriors, which is laughable compared to most other starter upgrades. Add on the fact that Heroes gives 30 more protections and 300 health you're almost never better off getting sundering.
the minute he put bluestone in S+ teir i was out. That item has been nerfed 1,903,583,714 times to the point of it doing less then half of the damage it used to.
trans, leather cowl to leaders cowl, crusher, atlatas bow, heartseeker and titans bane on medusa.. your abilities hit so hard and you shred tanks so easy.
Its terrible in solo too lmao. You either handicap yourself starting with no starter, or you start a trash starter that offers nothing except animosity late game. Then you need to cheese your build to make animosity worth it over bluestone or axe. Theres no upside that makes up for its downsides

Taking increased damage is not a thing anymore, if youre building rangdas youre going full power, and in doing so its exactly the same as lonos mask which you JUST went over literally seconds before this, and rangdas works the EXACT same way, so in the end you literally dont take ANY more damage that you would with any other starter, like cmon man, its not a great item but just pretending it still works like old rangdas when you literally just went over how new lonos works which is the exact same way new rangdas works, like cmon man 51:34 wtf are you smoking? Bancrofts is an EASY slot for aa mages. The 3 main rings, hecate, demonic for pen, and telkhines for more damage, then nimble bancrofts as well as typhons since you have both hecate and bancrofts, plus auto attacks give 100% of your lifesteal as healing, unlike abilities so lifesteal is insanely powerful, and you STILL have whatever else you want in your last slot, and youre already at or nearly at attack speed cap, like bancroft i would even call a core item on aa mages. I mean honestly what other items would you call more important? You want that typhons cuz your healing is insane for an aa god, and magicals have the most powerful ones and thats your main tool in beating hunters, is outhealing them, and hecate alone would not justify typhons, but nimble bancrofts is perfect in every way, AND gives even more lifesteal in power the lower you get, so in a boxing match with a hunter its hard af for them to win, like its straight up god tier for them
there are 2 I have to disagree with: corrupted bluestone and war banner corrupted bluestone I mostly use in a bruiser tsuku build in joust and slash, the ability to increase prots by 4% * 5, which most people sleep on, your attack speed and reduce theirs is amazing war banner I use 100% in tank gilga build in joust, pairing your 3, with serrated edge, the newest hp5 buff to his 1 and 4 stacks of war banner makes you life steal like hunters 15% from serrated + 10% from gilga 3 and 15% extra if you have at least 150 prots AKA a stacked thebes and glad shield + 1.25% of hp for each basic from banner also, war flag is a good way to get ahead of the enemy since you get 10 gold per ability hit and for each basic attack, I get at least 100 gold from just poking them between each wave

Do this all the time in joust with 2 AA warriors. One gets warflag and talisman and other gets shoguns for the aura too. We be fast and auto fast

I agree the item is a lot better late game. I'm not a conquest player but in other game modes like Slash and Assault I just save Rangda's for my last slot. Skipping the tier 1 for a power item rush like Trans or Doom Orb. Works pretty well for gods like Cabrakan/Achilles where you get tankiness from your passive to keep you relevant early game before you get the damage online. The tier 1 is just useless imo but the finished item is pretty amazing.

New to your page, I had a question about the list. Is it more tier based for conquest or an overall tier list for the game ? Main reason for question is because I only play arena and assault. I've been on this game for about 3 years now and I find myself still struggling at times to understand builds. My main is hades with 3 stars 🤣 I would definitely appreciate some help if possible
It's for Conquest but like 80-90% of it applies to other modes as well.

I think midgardian mail is supremely underrated bc it’s the only attack speed reduction item that will stack with other attack speed reduction. In this heavy hunter meta it’s been over performing for me. Grab that with a horrific and you should be winning every team fight against attack speed heavy lineups.
I swear if Gauntlet of Thebes and Glad shield arent S tier this man has not stepped outside of conquest for the past 8 years.

LARGE SUPPORT PLAYER RANT:
i wanted to ask if you could make a video on your thoughts about the support role and how it could be improved. Personally as a casual support main, more often than not i feel like 80% of my role is just bailing my teammates out for any mistakes they make, even preforming a kamikaze just so my level 17 hunter that apparently taped their W and left mouse-button down doesn't give away their lead.
Another thing that bothered me is i don't feel like i have place on the map. the duo lane turns into the hunter lane quite quickly and the jungle is obviously for the jungler, so im often just lingering around teammates sapping their farm. even my support buff is regularly dropped without my presence so i rarely get to take that.
some changes id like to make is bringing the support buff closer to lane like back camps and make them easier to kill as a support (supposedly checking if you had a support starter). that way i can get the buff either myself or with the jungler while im rotating between duo and mid lane. Also the little chalice things that spawn in the jungle (forgot their name, the things that fill up the trebuchet bar) seems great for helping me rotate and giving me a small objective. i think something more along the lines of solo lane totem could be nice so i have a personal objective (tho the jungler would probably end up stealing it).
Getting my own farm is essentially a core idea id like for being a support because not only could it help supports be less behind but also in my experience while other roles exist with specific objectives and options in mind the support player largely exist to augment other players experience. Take away the other segments of the map and the solo lane for example still has a lane they need to win, a clear opponent, objectives like tower and totems make the experience more like a duel game but if you did the same for support theres really nothing left to do. Thank you for coming to my rant.
You're a support sharing farm is your role, however milking someone is different. Your objective is rotations and keeping an eye on the enemy support. That's my take anyway.
I personally get the alternate timeline on gods like Hera when the enemy team has a god like Thor. That way when Thor Ult-combos me in the backline I can be revived while my team focus and kill the Thor. (Usually around a 30-minute fire giant, then I sell the item and swap it for something different.
Mitigation items really need a few buffs across the board. 9% for a fully stacked tier 3 item (Oni) just isn't good.
Same with sigil of the old guard. 17% is great until you realize it does almost nothing against autos because only abilities proc the passive.
Nemean just needs to be reverted to give full block stacks.
Might be a hot take but, I think Nemean should be reverted back to where it reflects auto attack damage back to the attacker like thorns does, make it balanced by adding the stacks instead of block stacks its reflect stacks.

Corrupted works great with chaac against hunters lol. They lose their attack speed and you just start smacking them
Sundering axe is actually quite bad. Warriors Axe steals 30 + 1.5*level true damage from the enemy. This equates to 60 true damage late game, which is guaranteed damage/healing no matter the enemy's health. Say you have sundering axe with a total of 300 protections from items now. 2% of 300 is 6 giving you a total steal of 8%. Hitting an enemy at 2500 HP means that this steals 200 HP. However, this 200 is only stolen if the enemy is at full HP which means that at 50% HP you're already only stealing 100 HP, 40 more than Warriors Axe. Obviously you can have more protections than this and the enemy can have more HP but in most cases you're getting about twice the damage out of sundering axe compared to warriors, which is laughable compared to most other starter upgrades. Add on the fact that Heroes gives 30 more protections and 300 health you're almost never better off getting sundering.

Its terrible in solo too lmao. You either handicap yourself starting with no starter, or you start a trash starter that offers nothing except animosity late game. Then you need to cheese your build to make animosity worth it over bluestone or axe. Theres no upside that makes up for its downsides

Taking increased damage is not a thing anymore, if youre building rangdas youre going full power, and in doing so its exactly the same as lonos mask which you JUST went over literally seconds before this, and rangdas works the EXACT same way, so in the end you literally dont take ANY more damage that you would with any other starter, like cmon man, its not a great item but just pretending it still works like old rangdas when you literally just went over how new lonos works which is the exact same way new rangdas works, like cmon man
51:34 wtf are you smoking? Bancrofts is an EASY slot for aa mages. The 3 main rings, hecate, demonic for pen, and telkhines for more damage, then nimble bancrofts as well as typhons since you have both hecate and bancrofts, plus auto attacks give 100% of your lifesteal as healing, unlike abilities so lifesteal is insanely powerful, and you STILL have whatever else you want in your last slot, and youre already at or nearly at attack speed cap, like bancroft i would even call a core item on aa mages. I mean honestly what other items would you call more important? You want that typhons cuz your healing is insane for an aa god, and magicals have the most powerful ones and thats your main tool in beating hunters, is outhealing them, and hecate alone would not justify typhons, but nimble bancrofts is perfect in every way, AND gives even more lifesteal in power the lower you get, so in a boxing match with a hunter its hard af for them to win, like its straight up god tier for them

there are 2 I have to disagree with: corrupted bluestone and war banner
corrupted bluestone I mostly use in a bruiser tsuku build in joust and slash, the ability to increase prots by 4% * 5, which most people sleep on, your attack speed and reduce theirs is amazing
war banner I use 100% in tank gilga build in joust, pairing your 3, with serrated edge, the newest hp5 buff to his 1 and 4 stacks of war banner makes you life steal like hunters
15% from serrated + 10% from gilga 3 and 15% extra if you have at least 150 prots AKA a stacked thebes and glad shield + 1.25% of hp for each basic from banner
also, war flag is a good way to get ahead of the enemy since you get 10 gold per ability hit and for each basic attack, I get at least 100 gold from just poking them between each wave
Haven't seen wind Demon built in forever, same with crusher. Stone cutting is a dead item and should be D
