- My personal review of the Matrix Indoor Training Cycle CXC Performance Trainer which I bought from Costco UK at the following link:
www.costco.co....
Update: I have learnt that anyone can buy Costco products online by buying an online membership and its not exclusive to professions if you buy their online membership, but you can only buy from their actual stores with certain professions.
Nice! I have the CXM model and love it; great build quality. Enjoy!!
It’s great. I gave it to my son who loves it. I have a peleton now and I love it too!!
No. Flawless from day one and I got it lightly used.
I love mine too, thank you!
Great video! Did you replace the pedals as well? Mine came with another version. Thanks
Nope I kept the original pedals but you can easily change them by twisting anti clockwise, it takes any pedal. Sorry for late reply I don't usually use this account
These are the ones The Gym Group have, all of their gym equipment is the Matrix brand. I've used this bike a lot and have been impressed with the quality of the bike. The ones at the Gym have the Matrix computer attached which provides all the metrics. Look at getting the matching computer so you can record your gains.
ICG IC4 and Matrix cxc ,which one is better?
Nice review, thank you! Would you know what is the best way of tracking of cadence/RPM? and distance? Thanks
@@mokhachoka2918 Hey, Many thanks for your reply. Good idea with those sensors. Unfortunately by the time I saw your videao all bikes are out of stock, not only in Costco but everywhere. So will have to wait. Good luck and many happy workouts my friend.
@@mokhachoka2918 Thanks mate! You won't beleive that when I looked yesterday morning the website was still out of stock so I ordered it form different store. Obviously a bit more expensive but it's with the console. Never mind, I can't wait to get my old bones moving again 👍
@@Marian999g there back in stock on Coscto, I just seen it!
@@juniorhenlon6084 Yea I know, too late now 🤷♂️
thanks for the review, does the resistance change automatically when using the console or app?
Hi there, nope it doesn't, it's just like most other spin bikes you have to adjust it manually the only automatic resistance I've ever seen is the pelaton (latest version).
I do 16.2 miles in 45 minutes, 15 mins at resistance level 10, 15 mins at setting 11 and 15 mins at setting 12.
Great video, I am going to get the CXM, can I ask how much you paid for the CXC at costco please?
Hi there I paid £1080 for it, but if you look below someone has an amazon link and it's exactly the same model for £700 so if you want the CXC I would recommend that as I wish I would have seen that!
I have this at my gym. Can you explain the resistance dials? Is it 0 - 100. Meaning each white line goes up. I’ve tried to use it with the Pelaton app but i can’t tell if I’m adjusting the proper resistance as the peloton riders.
Nice
Very thorough- help us choose the same bike
Thanks for the review. I got my matrix from costco as well, but in mine the handlebar isn't rigid - it moves left to right with a loud "bang". They sent an engineer who tried to fix it, but said it's a feature of this model that the handlebar cannot be locked solid. Could you tell me if yours is moving as well, please?
There is an opening on the front underside of the aluminum handlebar slider which when adjusted far forward gives you access to an internal tensioning screw - this will tighten/loosen the connection between the two rails. It works similarly to a common bike seat tension lock lever so if it is unscrewed too loose won't do much for securing the connection. Over time this can become a little loose from lateral torque while riding or was incorrectly tensioned by the factory (rare). Source: I co-designed this bike

@@rickys518 the bike was actually faulty. Matrix technician tried adjusting the screw and gave up. The bike got replaced and there's no banging anymore. Something must have been machined incorrectly on the first one.
Congratulations on the design. It's an amazing machine.
Can you make a video to see how loud it is? And also check stability when you are working out on it?
Hi there, sorry I haven't had the time to make any more videos but I just wanted to tell you that it is super quiet, it doesn't make any clanky sounds, in fact my heavy breathing is probably louder than the actual bike, it's super smooth and because it's built so well there is no slack on the internal belt so it just rotates in a nice and quiet motion. Someone in the next room wouldn't be able to hear you cycling, it's very quiet. In terms of stability, as mentioned it can take large mens weight upto 150kg and that's really big I think that's probably 25 stone if not more? If you have a solid floor, the big doesn't move.
Thank you for the movie, it inspired me to buy the spin bike. It is awesome! Very very silent and works wonderfull.
They use these at the ymca
Hey what kind of cycling shoes do you need for this bike?
Hi, I bought Mountain bike shoes but you can wear any cycle shoe that has the right clip, or just normal shoes
Can you increase resistance? The heaviness on the bike?
Yes, of course, you use the red level at the bottom of the handles although there are no numbers so it's just a personal preference, but it has like a 20kg flywheel so lots of resistance
9:25 would an ipad fit/sit on that black stand which looks like it's made for a phone?
So sorry for the late reply, yes an ipad or tablet would easily fit on it but it wouldn't be held in place and could skip off if you knock it, so I'd just spend the extra few quid and get a cheap tablet holder from amazon just for piece of mind
Is look small and I am 1,70m with long legs ….
Also, I prefer to be seat bether than sleep on the Bike..
Just brought one commercial grade bike
