Any tracks like this in Texas? I’m in Houston but haven’t found any so far, here or in Austin, Dallas, or San Antonio. I used to run Group 7 wing cars in the 70s. They were brushed but looked very similar.
Hey there, yes I'm in San antonio currently. Magnatech raceway is inside Wonderland mall on Fredericksburg rd. I believe Dallas slot cars and drag racing is around as well. I miss PA,'s place up near Houston. I did Box stock in the mid 90s. Been away for some time from the sport, but getting back in it and the brushless setups are looking pretty good.
Thank you for your interest John! Yes the ECOM built by Bob was tested against the other 3 in this video. It ran slower lap times than the others shown in our “test”.
The SBM is the only one that’s not carried in the USA. Some can be purchased from KC Racing’s website. The DoSlot is available from Slot car raceway and hobby in Vero Beach Florida. They are point of sale not at the distributor’s. 😀 .
Hi John thank you for your interest! These are the current ESC’s available on the market that work very well on the road course. Talons are the best thing to use in slot car drag racing not road course.
@@brushlessslotcarracing yes it make 2 wire to 3 it provides the signal. But tbh with active breaking and other programmable goodies in esc for roundy round esc maybe best. I was drag racing

do you have links to all but the westrock esc? I got that link already.
the SBM ecom is now on its 3rd or 4th firmware version, and is a lot faster than the old purple circuit board models
Thanks nice work! Have you tested the Brushless Ecoms by Bob Budge & Richard Mack.🏎🏁

funny.. they all use the same circuit and the similar mosfets. update the firmware on the ecom !
@@alkamotors158 make a video on how to do an upgrade it would be very useful ! Still waiting on you to send your version to be tested too!
@@brushlessslotcarracing I don't make esc's myself. I just provide the schematics and firmware so other people can make them..
Availability has to be a big factor. Any of them at distributors yet ? Ebay doesn't have a track to race on.

@brushlessslotcarracing Where can I purchase this motor? Did you change the shaft to 2mm?
How does this compare to the Talon 25?

@@brushlessslotcarracing Thank you very much for your feedback. We'll be drag racing, so that'll work perfect! Thanks again!
WHO IS X89????? NEVER HEARD OF IT!
It’s made in Germany! There is more than one company making esc’s for slot cars now.
So what did that tell us?
How close they are to each other in performance.
Thank you for your interest! 😃
Two points: The internal speed of the processor and the development of their software.
Use a servo tester instead of esc I already did all this back in 2003
Thank you for your interest! Do you have anymore information on your testing? Did you put the setup in a slot car?

not even close to brushed motors
DOSLOT IS THE WINNER
I really don't get to point of running a car that can go flat out everywhere.
We compared the ESC’s for performance, dyno’s run engines at full on to find the best tune too dont they? Thank you for your interest.
