Ok I'm about 10 days in and started this lesson Groove 1 Rumba Catalan - Variation 1! I will say this again and again...you are really teaching! I did the rudiments first and then spent about 15 minutes introducing myself to this Groove. I will rest and hit it again tomorrow. Power and Grace.

The understanding of breaking a lesson down into small comprehensible chips shows consideration for beginners. The fact that the instructor is very beautiful and the stage lighting superb complements her ability as a teacher, yet doesn't over shadow her compassion for teaching.
I respect her as a musician. But the fact " that the instructor is beautiful" has nothing to do with her ability as a teacher. Well intentioned but wrong.

Lol.the first things we were playing by instinct when we were very beginners . On the beach .no internet No teacher . Nothing. And now on youtube a brautifull lady teach those stuff as if they were real rythms .so funny.
The bass sounds so nice and deep and strong... I see that it is mic-ed.. .but is there a special amp for the base tone? I struggle to get that nice low bass tone.

Mejor dicho nunca pego con los cajonistas en peru. Un percusionista puerto riqueno quien vivia en alemania convencio a shlagwerk que construyera un cajon con cuerdas. De ahi los flamencos se apoderaron del cajon con cuerdas.
Hello! It is great to be back, and it's a loooong story... I will share more about my recent journey at some point, but now... to get back to it with a whole lot of new videos! I am so excited to share with you again. x
It also already had strings in Peru because the first manufacturers of cajons on a commercial level were luthiers. The difference is that the strings were put on the cheapest cajons to mask the poor tone that resulted from using inferior wood. It was summarily rejected by any respected cajonista. The strings on cajons used by spaniards were the result of Freddy Santiago, a puerto rican living and working in germany for schlaggwerk. He convinced the company to add strings to a model. Shortly after in 1990 (!!!!!), when a collaboration disc of spanish jazz was recorded in germany and all the "flamenco" cajonists (still using cajons with no strings) arrived they fell in love with the stringed cajon. Don't give the spaniards credit for the string innovation. It already existed in Peru. And a puerto rican in Germany is responsible for introducing the stringed cajon to spain.
