I turn 36 next month and have just become a bigger and bigger fan over the years. They are such a special band to me. I've seen them live more times than I can count, and have had the pleasure of meeting them multiple times as well. Their music means so much to me and I love who they are as humans as well. They do so much for the LGBTQ community and always work so hard to connect with their fans. Now on to "Yellow" - I absolutely LOVE the new song!!! Sara is always so good with lyrics. (They both are, but I love the way Sara paints such vivid pictures with her words.) Not only is this song amazing, the video is too. I love it so much. It's crazy how such a simple concept can convey so much. Plus... just look at them. How can they be so cute all the time?! SO excited for the new album and tour. Thank you T&S for all that you do!

Weird comment I’m about to throw here but hear me out, when Everything was Awesome came out I think I hated it (I currently have no strong feelings for it), and it’s so cool to read a comment like yours, knowing that Tegan and Sarah have been releasing music for so long and that they have been able to amass such a large and diverse fanbase. I discovered them near The Con era and became my favorite band when I was in high school and college and their vibe was a lot different then. But then to know they made such an impact on someone else years later with a different material makes me appreciate how they’ve grown and keep growing.
Holy shit, the level of planning that had to go into them making a one take video in slow motion, with the brilliant editing... SO GOOOOOOD!! With Downtown Vancouver in the background, iconic. And the experimentation in the music is fantastic!
This feels like a continuation of the older T&S... not at all a value statement; LYRICALLY TEGAN AND SARA ARE UNTOUCHED. I have Nineteen, you wouldn't like me, and specifically CALL IT OFF AND YELLOW on repeat. Here, today... with this same heart... feels needed and relevant.
Love the song and it makes me want to listen to Heartthrob again. I also appreciate the homage to Coldplay's Yellow music video if it was intentional (Walking down a dreary shore wearing jackets) and I can't wait for the album since Tegan and Sara are some of the few artists who have been releasing consistently good music that I've always resonated with since I first started listening to them 15 years ago.
