Thank you for taking one for the team by flying over water, as we know, that's not your favorite. Also, a huge MAHALO for showing us Tahiti, it is absolutely gorgeous. I, as I'm sure we all are, looking forward to your 2023 trips. Safe travels!
My mother took me to Tahiti for graduation present back in 1986 on UTA, and (now ATN) it was an experience I'll never forget, so much so, decades later in 2017 I took my wife and two daughters to Tahiti also on ATN. The experience for me back then and now along with my family was unforgettable and remarkable. The planes are beautiful, professional and lovely staff. Never flew business class as this is too expensive for me, but it was still really a spectacular experience.
Fun fact: In 1986, the former UTA, which in the meantime had been taken over by Air France, sold its share in Air Polynésie to local investors. The sale gave rise, in 1987, to the birth of Air Tahiti, in its current form. The new airline was keen to modernize, and in 1987 acquired its first ATR 42, marking the start of a long-term partnership with aircraft manufacturer ATR.
The safety video with the handsome Tahitians is quite good! It's good that the French still have their sense of humour!

An outstanding trip. A professional little airliner coming up the ranks very quickly. The reason is obvious: 1.) Amicable staff and flight crew, 2.) Beautiful livery and modern and nice color scheme totally South Pacific theme, 3.) Great food no matter where you are seated of course business class means all the best. I see Tahitian people and their paradise country and it make me feel good all over just to know that there is good manners towards your fellow kind, joy, laughter and just positive disposition. I could only imagine the 5 star resorts. Perfection at its best. Thank you for your video. P.S. maybe a future video of Air France from Los Angeles to Tahiti on business class.

Great video. I flew economy on Air Tahiti Nui back in 2007 and overall it was the best economy experience I’ve had on any airline. I’m like you, I’m a very nervous flyer, so that night flight back was a bit challenging especially since I couldn’t fall asleep. I watched the monitor the entire time and watched the hours literally tick away.

I flew Air Tahiti Nui last May. One of the best liverys in the aviation field and the interior makes you feel like you're in Tahiti the moment you board.
I flew economy from LAX to Papeete and it was one of my most enjoyable flights, though the fact that you're going to Tahiti helps.
That takeoff in total darkness was a bit surreal!
Flew ATN to Auckland on their "inaugural" flight after NZ opened to tourism again last year and the route got reinstated, also on the Fakarava. There was a massive PR show at the airport with dancers, singers, the press was there and even in eco we received so many amenities, which really made me appreciate ATN.
Great video ! 7.5 hours would be doable especially in first class. Riding in couch would be a challenge 😅

Air Tahiti Nui is great. We flew on them in 2019 to French Polynesia.

At 23:23, so interesting to see all those circular clouds in one area of space! I wonder if that was part of the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone, and those round clouds represent individual thunderstorms? They look so cool!
beautiful video. I just got back from Barcelona and stayed at the Mandarin like you did. Wonderful videos and trip ideas. This Bora Bora series has opened my eyes to the utter bullcrap of needing to budget $3-400 a day to just eat on the stupid island for two people per day.....
Ooooh, a Dreamliner! Given its size, I expected it to feel more spacious, but the 2-2-2 configuration is nice. Great safety video! I've flown SFO-Honolulu many times, since my parents lived there for over 40 years. Only about 5 hours from SFO. When I've gone to Europe I usually fly at night, which I don't like as much. 10-11 hour flight and I've never been able to sleep on planes in Economy. Your next flight will definitely be a long one but at least partly over land 😊Thanks for the ride, Dr LTE--hope you're doing well.
It's probably me but I think fresh flowers are a very nice touch in premium cabins. More airlines should have fresh flowers onboard ☺

My opinion is yu visit the resorts to sell features to those who travel who may not be aware of these resorts re islands. U receive many amenities as a thank u for advertising the resorts, is my guess❤😊
Great flight, and yeah this seating is suitable for Couple and honeymooners, but in addition if your family members are on even number, still good

Since you're a nervous flyer, have you ever considered to try progressive Muscle relaxation? I did it for a while, but for another reason. It's really soothing and helped me a lot during a difficult period of my life. There should be several apps which you can find in the App Store. It's really worth trying it.
As always a great video. I thought Vistara has the best safety demonstration video but looks like Air Tahiti Nui has the best ever and a most engaging one.

I don’t mind flying over oceans for long distances …. My problem is that I can’t perfect the ‘art’ of falling asleep while in flight. 🙁 Thus, I arrive at my destination usually very tired. 😴

Not sure I'd feel too great flying over the Pacific the whole time. But at least it's not a bad cabin to do it in. And you'll definitely remember what to do after that excellent safety vid!

I flew Air Tahiti Nui in 2005. The crew were amazing, the seats were to small and the leg pitch tight.

My wife and I will be making our very first trip to Tahiti this coming May (2023), and cannot wait. Our first leg, Boston to LA, will be on American, then our second leg will be on Tahiti Nui. We won't be in Business Class though.

Yes they do, you select that after booking on special requests, called “Strict Vegetarian vegan meal”
So sad to see one departing from Tahiti. In my case, I hate coming back from vacation.

One job I could never do .... air traffic control! Not enough Valium in the world .... lol!! Come to think of it, neither could I be any part of a commercial travel flight crew. God bless them!
I give it 5/10! Food, while looks nice, is too little - there are more wines than food! Why an earth do they assume people want just a light meal? It’s a 7+ hr flight after all! I don’t like the seats also - there are 6 seats per row, no cubicles, no direct access to the aisle! Depending on the price. If it’s 2x Economy Class then it’s ok. Otherwise not worth it.
The lounge is crap, $55 for acces and their isn't even a decent buffet😡
Food looks mediocre. Sorry.
