I bought this router yesterday and your video saved me from returning it as I had the same problem you did and had to use the allen wrench to fix it which I wouldn't have known about if not for your video. Thanks a million
Thanks. This is not my profession, I'm cheap, old, and I already have two fixed routers, so--after trying the carbon-paper route--I bought the Rockler sign-making kit (same as yours) thinking I could make my smaller fixed router work. Clearly not. And I had just decided on the DeWalt when I saw this video....made me feel better about going ahead with that purchase. Thanks again.
Yea I made a giant wall sized scrabble board and had to use this to route out all the letter tiles. It would have been a mess if I didn't use this singmakers kit.
Yea some letters were definitely harder than others and the other big thing is just don't rush it. It does take a little practice to get them to come out nice.
Thanks for your info about the tight fit. I just bought the same router. I was puzzled as to why the router would not fit the plunge and was going to call the help line today. Thank you
I wonder if double stick tape might not be a good idea. Also then the router fits flat to the templates as opposed to being the thickness of the masking tape above the work.

Man I can't believe they haven't fixed that yet! Yea I was so frustrated at first. Glad it helped you!

Awesome. Yea this has been a really nice router for me. I am pretty happy with this thing. I like it much better than my fixed router for sure.
Love the result of the Rockler Interlock Signmakers Kit! Thank you very much to make me discover this.

I bought the cordless with the plunge base and it was amazing. I think your vid reflected reality.
Thanks Bob I really appreciate that.
Really enjoyed your video. Thanks.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Practice the letters W & M. they were hard. I 've done the Dewalt and letter kit for about 4 yrs, I love it.

Super helpful video! Recently got into woodworking, looking to make some signs. Thanks!
Awesome. It can be very rewarding if you enjoy it.
Got the same router and also have this need... Looking forward to watching this later!
Love the router, but it's the next project that you want to check out. Almost finished with it.

Glad I could help!
I have the same problem with the locking ring on my new unit. Thx for the sharing info how to loosen the ring to allow the router to slide in...
Glad it helped man!
Thank you for sharing. I’m getting closer to doing this.
You can do it!

Yea that might be the way to go. I might try that next time.
I tried some double sided duct tape with mine, and it worked very well. Of course, then I had to remove double sided duct tape. 😅
Great video
Thank you!
Thanks!
No problem!
Awesome
Thanks man!
Are you from little river?
Nope. Originally from FL but have been in SC for over 20 years.
I have a cheap router and wasn't really looking for another reason to spend money. Looks like I have now.
That's the problem with TH-cam. I am really wanting a DJI FPV drone after I watched that video ;)
Better to just get the Milescraft letter kit.
I'll have to check that out.
say "basically" one more time, really.
Yea so basically, my brain was basically just stuck on saying basically!
