Same goes for me, recently used up my Iphone 11 with data-on with hotspot on and it reduces my battery health from 100% down to 99%, I never used that way anymore and I retained the 99% till now.
That was my biggest mistake Ive done early around this year. But one thing I've read about the comment is I also used to turn on low power mode. I also charge my phone from 30% to 100% in normal/cool room temperature. Not chraging during hot noon daytime. Using 20W original Iphone charger.

Best advice is that never let your phone die or keep it at 100%
If u do that you'll complete one battery cycle
All lithium ion batteries have charge cycle
Your phone's battery will degrade with age no matter what
But atleast this way u can hold on it for a while

My Samsung s 21 and my moto g stylus 2022 I used in the past are better. 120 refresh rate, plus 128 gb. This is a really helpful video for iPhone users. For those who are in North America and expecting to upgrade or change the device every 2-3 years, I would say it is safe to use the phone anyway you like because by the time the battery health is going down, you will be replacing the phone. I usually don't take extra precautions because of my upgrades comes in a short 2-3 year lifespan.
