Thanks to everyone for the amazing support I'm receiving with this video, it took me a lot of time to make it but you keep me motivated and maybe I'll do the same thing with other bands in the future!
YES!! YES!!! Finally I see someone playing Lake Bodom like I do. I learned the riff by ear, and then only after that, I saw in a live clip, that Alexi plays the three notes that end the first lick with barréeing the lowest three string with his pinky. I tried to learn to play it that way, because "it's the right way", but is just didn't feel natural to me. Every time I see someone play this, I keep my eyes on their fingers, and most people do that lick with the pinky barrée. Man I feel so validated right now.
Ahahah i do that way because I'm really not good at sweep picking, especially in barré notes, I have high difficulty to mute the strings in a sweep picking barré, so I came up with a different solution :)
Honestly what started my metal journey was when I first heard “every time I die” I asked my cousin what is that? I never heard music like that before. Great job man I’m still watching right now this is epic

I did listen to Metallica first and justice for all album I was really into and then when I heard children of bodom was my favourite and then in flames and now I like lots of different bands like as I lay dying, old neaera, breakdown of sanity, old parkway drive, old insomnium, within the ruins, etc lots of bands but I’ve been listening to a lot of children of bodom again lately and Inearthed talking of the trees
Dude, Bodom was a gateway band for extreme metal for a lot of people, I started my music journey with the green apple compilation by The Beatles, Brave New World by Maiden, Puppets by Metallica, some Korn and Slipknot. Years later after Blooddrunk was release I lost interest for COB and change that place in my musical brain for Kalmah. I think Kalmah is better than COB, Something Wild, HateB, Follow and HCDR are absolute masterpieces
@@Drinkwithclass Kalmah is indeed an awesome band, tho there are some albums that I don't like that much, like for the revolution and 12 gauge, but I haven't listened those albums by a long time, so maybe my music tastes changed
You're a beast. I can hear this music is fueled by thousands of metal souls. Pretty sure many people feels conected to other metalheads while listening to this.

This video has reignited my desire to learn more Alexi. He was my guitar idol and finally tried learning some bodom after he passed. Thanks for this video man, it is no easy feat to cover every bodom melody like this kudo's . Start writing your own stuff and create your own legacy 🤘

I had already done the recording and filming, then one night I was in my car with the Hexed album in it but for whatever reason I never notice the track, or just skipped it. It felt like discovering a hidden gem for me, and I had to insert that track as well in the video
Totally agree! It is short and shows simple melody and beat, but the mood of 'road end', like it or not is strong here. For me it felt like goodbye from this band. And in the end of 2020 this short piece got another, more painful meaning in it... rip, Alexi

But, on a Knuckleduster track ending and Alexi's rip-photo i was like "Man, if he added that hidden track from Hexed ending, which was sounding really epitaphic at the point cob dissolved and later Alexi tragic passing... video is over - he didnt include it - i feels incomplete totally..." But then, hidden track kicks in... Great job, man! Thank you!

Alexi was a brilliant writer I hope more people come to see how unique his song writing was. The symphony is beautiful to show people who arent into heavy metal. WTF is this video... I was a huge fan of CoB until Hate Crew Death Roll and Alexi Laiho is IMHO as equal as ex-Carcass Mike Amott and some others... He just a great f***ing guitarist... RIP Alexi Laiho and what a great tribute you've done there. I want to heard more of that in the future :D

You're right but the EP wasn't out yet when I made the video, only the first single was :) I thought of making a Sinergy + Bodom After Midnight video but Sinergy isn't well known so I don't think it's worth the effort

On 005 gain 8, bass 5, mid 6, treb 10, for the radar it's a custom setting I made
