Levy has had manager after manager after manager during his time running our club. We made really good progress from when he took the club on in the early days and got playing European football, but we have gone backwards since we moved into the new stadium. The long and short of it is we should have won more trophies under Levy than we have and that sits firmly with him appointing the right people and creating a winning culture. Fans are not bothered what the balance sheet looks like, they want to pay hard earned cash to watch a winning team.
There’s no doubt in my mind that Tottenham would’ve won several trophies if they spent their money on senior players. They spent 650 million on the likes of Spence, Royale, Odobert, Gray, Bergvall etc. When Conte said he wanted a £30m right-back, I’m sure he was expecting one that would slot straight into the team and not spend 3 years getting ready like Spence did
It's not the players letting Ange down, it's the quality of players Levy is signing for him. He's signing loads of kids that are really cheap and get a much less in wages. The old saying is, you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Levy needs to sign quality players, he doesn't want to because he'll have to pay them quality player wages. Levy has had 12 managers, some of the very best in the world, the problem at Spurs can't be all down to them. The one common denominator is Daniel Levy and the way he runs the football club. We need to stick with Ange and Levy needs to sign quality players and stop buying kids who are cheap to have. It's all about the money with Levy, simple. We have the stadium and training facilities, we're in the process of building a hotel that's all great. But we're a football club the money should be going into the football side of things, not other projects just to make Levy and co more money. It's time to build a team that can challenge for honours, for that you have to sign quality players.
Daniel Levy has spent money, but has it really benefited the first team? We’ve added eleven U21 players, Spence, Solomon, and Solanke, after selling Kane, Perisic, Dier, Skipp, Moura, Sanchez, and more-many of whom haven’t even been replaced. Recruitment over the last 10 years has been shocking. We’re battling lower-league teams for players and expecting to compete in the top half of the table? The strategy needs a serious rethink.
cant understand the hatred of Levy. Has recruited some top top managers over the years and devloped some high class players through some good recruitment. Also delivered a state of the art stadium for more people and existing fans to benefit from. Its gone sour for one season and alot of fans turn on him.
Simon Jordan , it’s not enough for a chairman to spend money , that’s not his anyway , he has to invest it correctly to improve the team , buy one top class player for the here and now , instead of 3 promising kids for the future , for that Spurs have their youth teams academies .
Saying Bale was World Class when Spurs signed him, is like saying Odegaard was World Class when Real Madrid signed him. World Class talents, definitely, but not even close to ready for first team football. The Last Truly World Class player spurs signed who was established and renowned was Klinsmann. I might be forgetting someone in the interim, perhaps Berbatov, but you might also make the argument that he was never World Class.
How many years of failure is tolerated for CEO's in the business world? Levy has had 25 years and we are going backwards. Its only because he is part owner that he hasn't been sacked.
I’ll say this for the 4 thousandth time!!!.. ITS NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY LEVY SPENDS, IT’S ABOUT THE WHO HE SPENDS IN ON AND THE FACT HE WON’T PAY TOP WAGES!.. 21 days into this transfer window with our club in 15th and heading for a relegation battle because Ange quite literally is running out of first team players!.. Yet Levy and the club still haven’t brought in any out field players to help him!?.. 🤯🤷🏼♂️ It absolutely mind blowing that Simon is still sticking up for his mate!?..🤯🤷🏼♂️
poch wanted , fernandez, dybala and grealish but got lo celso and ndombelle , so thats rubbish he didnt want any players lol he actually said that a rebuild is needed and will be painful, hes backing his mate levy like normal.
Spurs had the 3rd highest net spend on players over the last 5 years, behind Chelsea and Arsenal. They have made losses the past 4 years, £87 and £50m last two. They can’t really pump any more money into players. Levy got around £3m plus £3m accrued bonuses last financials. Higher then around £2m other execs get but a couple of million has minimal impact.
It's a mentality from Daniel that spreads throughout the club. Giving out watches on an eve of a CL game which is engraved "CL Finalist.." We had a long history of buying top quality stars like Klinsmann, Sheringham, Lineker, Waddle, Gazza, Ardiles, Villa, Clemence - Daniel has no interest. Second highest season ticket price, 60,000 stadium, one of the best in the world apparently with Beyonce concerts, state of the art training facilities - flex your muscle Daniel.
The problem isn't that Levy doesn't spend money, it's that despite the riches of the club, he's always looking for a bargain and negotiating in a way that the club never gets the players the manager actually wants/needs. He would rather spend $80m on 3 pretty good players instead of 1 game changer. Which while it makes good business sense, it does not make good football sense. Levy is great for everything except the football part of the football club.
Why are Spurs suffering so many injuries? Is it something to do with the club or just unlucky? Spurs haven’t signed many world class players. I don’t think any football fan would consider Solanke £65m good business.
You can’t see what the chairman hasn’t done Simon ? Then you answer with , “ Werner and Johnson were mistakes “ . The former was brought in on loan , along with the Odobert transfer , to save Levy from paying for the more expensive alternative , possibly Neto from Wolves , and Johnson , along with all the other kids Levy loves recruiting , we’re bought for their potential and sell on value . The only player Levy added to the squad , that could go straight into , and improve the team last summer was Solanke . Now is that enough for a manager who keeps saying he wants to ( re )build the team so , “ the club can get to where it wants to be “ ? For every other subject Mr Jordan is straight as an arrow , but when it comes to Levy , he zig zags and goes round the bends .
At some point you need to to start looking at Levy. It’s been years this guy had to get it right and he hasn’t. He’s been saying he would give over his roll to someone more experienced. He hasn’t. So yes Levy is absolutely responsible for this. The sacking of Jose before a final was telling, anyone that says otherwise must be getting pegged by him.
The fact Poch turned down players is true but they keep forgetting Spurs bought players after the Cl final, it was before that they didn't spend for a year, they keep getting the timeline wrong.
It’s not Levy Simon ? Even Alan Sugar who only spent fractions of Levy’s budgets in real terms , in less time than Levy , and won more than Levy ever will .
We’re loaded. 8th wealthiest club in the world. Also sold Kane for £85m along with other players. Problem is that our recruitment has been terrible for years
@ means nothing Everton are loaded and sold Gordon Richarlison Digne Onana to name a few and over last 5 years transfers Everton are + 27 million Tottenham are -550 million both have built new stadiums in that time see the big difference in numbers

Well, at least during the Sugar regime we won something and we brought in some players that played with flair. (Ginola, Klinsmann)
Simon Jordan defends Levy as blindly as Keown defends Arsenal!! Hahaha
Simon could make a pretty good advocate 👌
Saying Bale was World Class when Spurs signed him, is like saying Odegaard was World Class when Real Madrid signed him. World Class talents, definitely, but not even close to ready for first team football. The Last Truly World Class player spurs signed who was established and renowned was Klinsmann. I might be forgetting someone in the interim, perhaps Berbatov, but you might also make the argument that he was never World Class.
Rebrov was world class in 2000. Flopped massively at Spurs
@adammohamed.. 😂😂
How many years of failure is tolerated for CEO's in the business world? Levy has had 25 years and we are going backwards. Its only because he is part owner that he hasn't been sacked.
Mighty Lordship Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Nob
I’ll say this for the 4 thousandth time!!!..
ITS NOT ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY LEVY SPENDS, IT’S ABOUT THE WHO HE SPENDS IN ON AND THE FACT HE WON’T PAY TOP WAGES!..
21 days into this transfer window with our club in 15th and heading for a relegation battle because Ange quite literally is running out of first team players!..
Yet Levy and the club still haven’t brought in any out field players to help him!?.. 🤯🤷🏼♂️
It absolutely mind blowing that Simon is still sticking up for his mate!?..🤯🤷🏼♂️
poch wanted , fernandez, dybala and grealish but got lo celso and ndombelle , so thats rubbish he didnt want any players lol he actually said that a rebuild is needed and will be painful, hes backing his mate levy like normal.
Spurs haven’t had an “ overload of players “ under Levy , EVER .
I support what Levy has done from a business perspective but if you win things you earn more? You grow as a company!
Wow this is the strongest Simon has ever critized Levy 😂
At some point you need to to start looking at Levy. It’s been years this guy had to get it right and he hasn’t. He’s been saying he would give over his roll to someone more experienced. He hasn’t. So yes Levy is absolutely responsible for this. The sacking of Jose before a final was telling, anyone that says otherwise must be getting pegged by him.
Levy must have some dirt on Simon the amount he backs him
The fact Poch turned down players is true but they keep forgetting Spurs bought players after the Cl final, it was before that they didn't spend for a year, they keep getting the timeline wrong.
yeah too little too late
Not do better, just do one
It’s not Levy Simon ? Even Alan Sugar who only spent fractions of Levy’s budgets in real terms , in less time than Levy , and won more than Levy ever will .
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Ange Postecoglou "Its who we are mate"
Jordan is flummoxed when the facts hit true. About time Levy gets it
Spurs 350million in 3 seasons 😮
Deduct Everton -10 points now
We’re loaded.
@@agentancelotti2985 Mate look at the revenue we generate from our new stadium. We also bring in more than any club on match days in the PL including United.
Our new stadium is a cash cow. NFL, Boxing, Beyoncé & other concerts, the sky walk, underground Go Karting, Rugby matches, you name it. We’re not even close to breaking FFP rules.
20 days in how is the transfer market going nothing how about the media stop blaming Ange for losing with no players 😂
It's Levy who has employed the managers and players! For 24 years.. Indefensible.. A fish rots from the head down.
When you don't have the money like Spurs Arsenal etc then you have think smarter? Bournemouth, Brighton etc have done that and are an example of how it can be done with less income! Spurs should follow their model!
Can anyone explain why or what Simon brings to these conversations 😢😢😢😢
He brings a briefcase 💼 and usually a coffee latte
The Brick Top of sports pundits.
What is this factually false narrative that Spurs didn’t sign anyone in the summer after the champions league final. It was the season before which they didn’t. They signed Ndombele, Sessegnon and Lo Celso in Poch’s last season.
Simon won’t fully call levy out cos he’ll be barred from the directors box at spurs 😂😂😂😂
Levy and ENIC OUT❌❌🟥
19/20 season we spent £110m on Ndombele & Lo Celso , and both flopped big time. So for a naturally conservative guy like Daniel, what he gonna think when he sees that sort of money go down the toilet.
Buys average players Solanke and Johnson for £110m.
That's what happens when you buy big on potential rather than proven quality.
@@kinggeoffrey3801 Both for internationals for France and Argentina and brilliant at their previous clubs. Solanke & Johnson is more reflective of your reply.
@adammohamed.. they were, but had little experience of playing that level for long periods. Ndombele had plenty of people questioning his work ethic before we bought him. They were still punts, and both failed.
How come when Everton have problems it's completely down to Moshiri, but in this case it isn't Simon?
Whoever thinks Richarlson is worth 80m and Solanke 60m needs to go, simple.
Seems like Ange gets a free pass because he plays a high line, any other manager and the fans would be calling for the sack, so Spurs fans deserve what they get which looks like relegation and the fans will still say, well we play a high line. Why do you think the players are getting injured, because they are bursting a blood vessel to get back from the halfway line.
Spurs need Sean Dyche in to steady the ship.
Simon nearly trash talks his lover.....nearly 😂😂
I think Levy is preparing to sell the club. There's talks of Amanda Staveley coming in & selling to Qatar.
These people make football seem so complicated. We’ve spent money, yes but we’ve overpaid for average players. Only way it gets better is to stick wages up and buy already proven players and I mean world class players. Else you’ll never catch Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Arsenal etc. it’s not rocket science 😂
One day jordan says levy should do more another day he says levy has done loads ..PAY BETTER WAGES FOR BETTER PLAYERS What Conte said was true look at the club now
The players arnt there. There is a real lack of quality players and managers. All clubs have to sign now is potential from around the world and most of it doesn't pay off.
Jordans eyes are literally swivelling on stalks trying to defend Levy, its getting to be a sick caricature now
ive never said levy dosent spend money, he spends it the wrong way to many kids and when they start to become good players he sells them
Levy is great for spurs
We should offer Man City £70 million for grealish,he’s a good player just rotting away on the bench,I’m sure there’s a few more out there, but we don’t want to pay the wages it’s as simple as that and that’s the way levy wants it.we as fans need to stop buying merch, and stop going to a few games
Levy took 74 days to hire imposter o clue
Wrong. After 74 days and other managers turning their noses on Spurs, Levy settled on Ange
Oh no, simon jordan is back 😮
The David Pleat quote is a red herring, lets all see the NDA Levy made him sign for his severance
If he signed an NDA he wouldn't be able to discuss the matter at all 🤣
Poch wanted new players. He just didn't want the dross the club was trying to bring in.
24 years of Levy at Spurs, enough with the excuses. He has failed.
They’re all Levy’s picks, the managers have no choice but to accept.
Levy wants spurs to aspire to be brighton
If you're still behind Ange, you're admitting you're an idiot at this stage.
It can be true that BOTH Levy and Ange are problems.
Alan Sugar bought Klinsmann i- Levy bought Rafa van der Vaart in 24 years
Klinsmann left after a year. Because he saw a losing operation.
spurs looking for trashford n garnacho ---going further down the drain
More levy apologetics m😂😂😂
Its just who they are mate😭
Levy must step down
Laughable that spurs fan expect to make world class players
Fence sitter Simon, backing his boy, facts are facts, levi wouldnt give Poch the money, Kane left because he knew money wasnt going to be spent on new players, Facts!.
LEVY DOES NOT SPEND ENOUGH MONEY!! On ready made stars!!
