Spotlight on Trees: Netleaf Hackberry (Celtis reticulata)- 10/21/24- Kern County, Ca

Kern County (near Tehachapi/Bakersfield), California. Netleaf Hackberry is a large shrub to small tree, winter-deciduous, in the Cannabis Family (Cannabaceae). It is found in interior Central to Southern California in canyons, washes, and gullies from sea-level to about 5,000'. It is also found in the interior west to S. Central U.S. and down into Mexico (Wikipedia).

I haven't seen them there (yet), but they may possibly be found in occasional drainages there.
