We're Moving!

Yes, we are moving to a new house. It has taken us 90 days to find someplace to live. It's hard to leave somewhere I have lived for 44 years. But a new chapter is opening in my life. This is the introduction video, but there is so much more to come.

Oh, PinkMaeve, you are so sweet. I would love to have you come help me. I am taking more than a few breaks. And long ones too. I just do what I can do and make sure that I do something every day even if it is just emptying out one bag or box.

Hi Kathy, I am so happy that you & Joe found a new home and have sold yours. I know it's hard to leave the house where you've lived for 40 years. I have lived in my house for 30 years and I know I will need to leave in a few years too. I never thought I'd miss it but as I think about leaving and looking over my backyard, I realize that I have many happy memories here and I am going to be sad when I decide to leave. I wanted to tell you that my sister who just turned 60 and is in excellent health, as is her husband, just sold their two bedroom, two story townhouse for a one level townhouse and she is thrilled because she said she is thinking ahead to the time when the stairs will be a problem. Also, she is very, very organized and if anything came into the house, something else was taken out. Still, she was very stressed when it came time to pack up and be ready for the movers. They actually closed on their house the day before they could close on the new house. The person who bought her house wanted them out the day they closed so my sister and her husband spent the night before closing on their new house in a motel. Also, everything that was put on the mover's truck stayed overnight on the truck until they closed on the new house and could move in the next day. Extra costs for them too but they are so happy now that everything is done.

We were going to do what your sister did, but the people that bought our house gave us an extra week to move everything out. We couldn't have done it without that. They are the best.

Kathy, thank you for a heartfelt video. I know how hard it is to leave your home, we moved too five years ago. I'm so happy your brother is helping. No. I have heart disease, problems with my gastrointestinal tract, recovering from cancer and severe arthritis in my knees and shoulders which makes it very painful to move. I see that you have fibromyalgia and I am so sorry to hear that. You will be in my prayers.
