heh. dad said 'noones home, go away' via his ring camera, so they started kicking to get in. .... they didnt realise he was downstairs reloading cartidges and cleaning 'inventory' until he appeared behind them with a under and over piece of 'inventory' loaded in 12 gauge. anyways, they quietly sat on the top step with hands on head until the local police gave them some jewelry and accommodation for their troubles ;)
I can sorta understand the couple trying to get their food that was delivered to the wrong address, but the best thing to do would be to just call and get it refunded.
Or call the law and show them the picture with the visible address on your phone! I had the same problem and had multiple orders stolen and refunded. I went on Google maps and moved the arrow to the right address. So far I've received all the packages I've ordered since I moved the arrow.

The doorbell cameras sure worked. We got to watch a lot of videos of people totally stealing packages, attempting to break in, or acting weird... and NONE of them were caught or arrested.
better than knowing nothing at all, you also sometimes get a view of who the person is/what their car looked like, which can be used in conjunction with other forms of evidence to catch serious criminals. would you rather they have nothing at all?

We had someone a year or so ago suddenly slam into our door like they were trying to come straight in. Was a young guy claiming he needed help cause people jumped him. Told him through the door we could call the cops and he could wait on the porch. Would have been happy to make sure no one came on our property to harm him. Unfortunately at the mention of police he yelled no through the door. So I let him hear me rack a round and told him either he lets me call for help or he gets his ass off my property. He took off running. We still had the cops pick him up. Seemed to be a tweaker from town nearby. I live out in the country, you should always keep your door locked these days.
Ikr? I had a dasher drop off my order and what he claimed was his next order and wanted to come back for it…. I was like ummm no gross. He then said he changed his old and it was his order and he didn’t care…. I was still like ummm no.
I was a Letter Carrier for many, many, too many years, and on Saturdays(which is when the JW's would come out) I would knock on doors and tell my customers that they were coming. I can't tell you how many times people thanked me for the heads-up!!!

Though it was delivered to the wrong house, he himself could have grabbed it, then said he never received it. I'm not answering the door.
We are having the outside of our house worked on. You wouldn't believe how many times random workers try to open the doors without even knocking. They have ZERO business coming inside. My house is sealed up real good with a few surprises if anyone does manage to make their way in. One worker stood on boards to try to look inside.
Yes, do watch out for those aggressive raccoons. They will mess you up. Teach kids not to approach them. They are cute, but they can also be very, very dangerous.
Just got out ring. If you're thinking about it, DO IT! Not only is it safer, it's fun to leave messages for each other! My kids and hubby love scaring each other too. The best part to be honest is we live in Houston. The ring app was more helpful during the huge hurricane we had than any other app. People would let each other know where the power was on and where any sightings of the power company trucks were when fixing the power. Even the power company themselves wouldn't update anything or even answer their phones! We LOVE our ring!!!!
There seems to be an increase of people presenting with some serious criminological thinking and behaviors, most appear to be homeless and/or on drugs. We will witness this situation get worse as the homeless population increases. It is perplexing to me how many people do not lock their doors!
Please, such behavior is often times exercised by those that are neither homeless, hungry or deprived of things that would lead them to behave and think poorly. Criminal thinking doesn’t magically up and appear the minute someone becomes homeless.
The lady banging on the man’s door with the bathing suit would have met my 2nd amendment with her shenanigans. She was banging on the glass, kicking the door, and just hanging around like she owned the place. What were her intentions?
Yup, I had a mother and her spoiled, disrespectful teenage daughter come to my house claiming I had one of their packages that was delivered by Amazon months ago. They were so sure I had their package that every word was accusatory without any concrete proof. No photos, no address, nothing. Amazon usually (in my area) takes pictures of all packages that are left on doorsteps. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here in my home recovering from extensive cancer treatments that I received months prior and in severe chronic pain from the cancer treatments (anyone who has gone through cancer treatments can tell you first-hand how painful the treatments are). The last thing I'm going to do is wander around the neighborhood in chronic pain looking for packages to steal when I literally just recovered from the brink of death. When the cancer was diagnosed, I was about 36 hours from meeting the creator. If you're going to go to someone else's home be sure you have all your facts straight beforehand, or you may end up facing severe or life threating consequences for your poor choices. You also may not come across someone like me who WAS respectful and cordial throughout the whole ordeal.

I believe that the couples food delivery did get delivered to the wrong address because he seemed to serious, Delivery drivers dropping off food shouldn't leave it until the actual person that ordered it accepts it.. Take out food with delivery is so expensive.. My grandson wanted wendys one day when he was at his fathers so myself and his mom ordered it and had it delivered, he got a burger nugget fry and small drink and it was over 30$ plus tip smh!!
A guy came to my door, which is a glass door and asked if he could use my phone, that he had locked his phone in his car. Which I kind of doubted it because most people keep their phone in their pocket or their handbag, they don't leave it in their car. Had to do some work in the front yard, garage, and front doorway before the weekend cold snap...my husband and I kept watch /lookout for each other... also packing 2 gel masses each just to be a little more safe... we were that way living in the mountains because of the wild wife, now back in the city we don't get the mail without mase... gel mase is intense....

A guy came to my door, which is a glass door and asked if he could use my phone, that he had locked his phone in his car.
Which I kind of doubted it because most people keep their phone in their pocket or their handbag, they don't leave it in their car.
I of course said No..😮 NOT with all the home invasions that are going on!😢
