“Toast to the ones we lost along the way” 😂👼🏼🌱
🤣🤣🤣
I have to repot mines, I mistakenly thought it was gonna stay one size but it’s out growing OG pot 😢 being a plant parent work.
I had tried this. They all died. If you take a good cutting, then put in the dirt, it will grow. Not the leafs
The leaves work I've done it
I’ve done both ways, leaves will grow, you have to let the ends dry out for a few days then place a little dirt over and dampen every 5 days ish, they’ll root up, even if left above the dirt, some plants leaves will shoot out a new flower and roots in few wks to 2 months, it all takes time
They work just ignore them after putting in shade and I putted it upside down and pushed a little in soil..( upside down leaf so it touches mud)
I've tried this too and they also died and became black 😔
You can absolutely propagate most succulents from leaf cuttings. They actually require a bit more water than mature plants, but still should be left to dry out between watering. Also, if you take the leaf cuttings, it's good to keep in mind when you last watered the mother plant, cause if the mother plant was thirsty when you took the cuttings, then the cuttings are probably thirsty too. Thirsty leaves will rot as fast as overwatered leaves. Keep trying, sometimes the leaves just aren't strong enough & it can be tricky. There's other methods for leaves too. For some succulents, a dampened hand towel in tupperware works as a good rooting chamber, and you rarely have to check on it, except to freshen, or change the towel.
Today my newly planted cactus plant mistakenly fell down from the table and the plant got separated from the soil. Will it affect the plant? I'm scared 😢
Hi, as long as you repot it immediately, observe and take care of it carefully, then it would be fine ☺
Poor baby is stretching 😅
😁
Qui substrato e este misturado com que mi ajuda aí né preciso saber
I thought you weren’t supposed to spray the leaves?
Water succulent leaf cuttings about 2-4 times per week, whenever the soil dries out
Love the videos. I'm starting to learn more about my succulents. Can you give any tips for propagating the dolphin succulent you had in the background there at the end. The leaves look like dolphins, not 100 on the actual name. But idk how to propagate them, i have a small one i rescued but dont knkw much about it
I propagated my String of dolphins with a stem cutting. You can read more about String of Dolphins propagation here: succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/how-to-care-for-string-of-dolphins
i cut two leaves off a succulent- the first was 100% fine and i put it on my desk no soil no water in some sun. idk if im hallucinating but i think i see a root.
the second wasnt so cool i tore it almost on the base but took the tip and taped it together. and the leaf itself isnt in great condition its super wrinkly.
i dont have any soil because my backyard and the pot of a full succulent i bought at lowes, can i use normal dry? and when do i plant it
If you see a root of first leaveas, that's a good sign. Let it stay dry and out of direct sunlight until the roots grow a bit more, then you can plant it in well-draining soil. The second leaf, since it's damaged and wrinkly, it might not root well. Taping it may not help much, but you can still leave it out to dry and see if it roots. Use normal dry soil if it’s well-draining (a mix of regular soil with sand or perlite works). Plant the leaf once roots are established, which typically takes a few weeks. Avoid watering until roots are formed.
@@SucculentsBox thank you
Can you teach how to propagation zebra succulent plant ❤
What do you do with the bottom half stem ?
The stem can produce new growth after you take a leaf for propagation, provided it receives proper care.
What’s the succulent in the video?
That's called Lavender Pebble Graptopetalum succulentsbox.com/products/lanvender-pebbles
V informative
That pink flower?
That's called Anacampseros Telephiastrum, you could find it here succulentsbox.com/products/anacampseros-telephiastrum-variegata
My succulents are very small how do i make them grow big?
Hi, you can fertilize them in their growing season and give them good care; then I guess it would be better
Will the initial plant grow more pups after you cut the succulent?
If the original stem with roots is still in the pot, then it'll grow new pup
How do the leaves not die from being wet? Mine tend to water burn right away.
No need to wet leaves I leave them dry for weeks and they sprout roots
What is the name of this plant?
Succulent plant 🌱

I have a similar one that did not get enough sun for a couple months and stretched out so much it looks silly lol. I have to chop chop and prop prop. I've had about 50/50 success rate with propagating anything this year... its been an unlucky year lol. I just got a decent grow light so my odds will be going up!!
Keep up the good work!! Share us when you success
does this work with sedum morganianum?
Hi. The leaves propagation will work with the sedum
Did you repot the cutting instantly or let it callus over for a day or two first?
let it callous first or you might get rot
When you plucked out the leaves, did you leave them out to dry for a few days or you can instantly moist them?
You can just pick off any leaves for propagation as long as it's healthy. And yes, we should leave them callus for a couple of days before planting them in the soil 😉
@@SucculentsBox Hi! To clarify, after callusing and putting in soil, can you moisten the soil or wait for roots to grow first?
@@bbydraak As in the video, we should mist them a little bit to moisten the soil after putting the cuttings, and then leave them there for the roots growing ☺
@@SucculentsBoxhow to prepare its soil ingredients ratio
@@umerrizwan1016 you can make your own soil mix with the ratio: 3:2:1 POTTING SOIL + BARK FINES + PERLITE/PUMICE ☺
I have followed all the methods to propagate this plant and none of them worked. I don't know where the error is 🤔
Solo por si acaso, las hojas no se ponen directo al sol.
I’ve tried this so many times mine always day. May I ask what type of soil you are using?
You can find it here succulentsbox.com/products/succulent-potting-soil
Hi there , how long does the leaf last until I decided to plant cuz Im about travel to my home country its about maybe 7-10 days journey I guess? Until I arrived
Did they survive? They should be fine as the babies get their water and nutrients from the mamma leaf 🍃
Hello.... I have the same succulent but i am not able to understand which succulent it is ....can u tell me what's the name?
Looks like a Pachyphytum Oviferum Blue, but could also be some type of Graptopetalum 😊
Is that mud pot...?
Where did you get that kind of pots...?
That's called Terracotta pot, you can find it here 😉succulentsbox.com/collections/succulents-pot
i love that sempervivum arachnoideum 😍😍😍
Yahhh🤣
Let it dry for 2-3 days before putting them into pot?
Yes! Allow to dry until callus forms at base (typically 2-7 days)
Can you tell me am I supposed to water the soil first or leave it dry?
After cutting, you should leave to dry for 2-3 days before let them in soil. Light waterings, wait for the soil to dry out completely between waterings. You could read this blog for more information 😋succulentsbox.com/pages/propagation
Ive tried to do my succulent leaves and they dont do anything do i need to keep them wet and covered or what? Help
Hi, normally we should place them at an indirectly light and mist them a little bit sometimes. I'm not sure what happened to your propagation, maybe you want to check our blog below to see what could go wrong with your propagation 😉 succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/what-could-go-wrong-with-your-succulent-propagation
How often do you spray them??? Ive tried this many times but my cuttings shrivel up and dry out. Nothing happens
try doing it without spraying them, I've had more success doing that. the babies don't need any water until the mother leaves you plucked naturally falls off, all the water they need to establish is in the original leaf. the leafs I water usually die before producing a baby or roots. just set and forget.
Kindly tell me potting mixture for succulents.
You can find it here 😉succulentsbox.com/products/succulent-potting-soil
Is this plant safe for cats?
It depends on what kind of succulents, we have a blog about this topic, maybe you wanna take a look 😉 succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/toxic-and-non-toxic-succulents-for-pets
Always google lens echeveria are safe but any crassula are not x
Cool ❤
Can anyone tell the name of succulent she’s using
We use Lavender Pebble Graptopetalum succulentsbox.com/products/lanvender-pebbles
Hello do we need to keep the upper body of the pant for 2 days untill we plant it in the soil
Try to shade them a little then, that means your giving to much direct sunlight
You guys spray water once a day?
2-4 times per week, soil should be moist and prevented from drying out, but not so moist.
Succulents might just be my new fav 🎉❤
Yes!!! You will love these babies
Comment s'appelle cette plante SVP
Very nice 💚💚💚💚
Thank you
Nice
😊
😊
So the stem in the soil can grow, even if it has no leaves on it?
If it’s healthy, yes 😊
@@sophiamongrut5421 thank you! Really appreciate it. I had no idea
@@Antitype7 No worries! It's always good to learn something new. Apart from that, I forgot to say that there are more chances to have a new grow in the stem if it has at least one leaf left ☺
How often should you water the succulents that you just propagated?
Hi, we should water the succulent leaf cuttings about 2-4 times per week. Of course, it also depends on the temperature and humidity in your home, but make sure don't overwater though 😉
@@SucculentsBox Thanks for your reply. 😍 Will try this out. 😊😊😊
@@erickasenorin4786 Great! Then let us know the result afterward
What is the size of the pot ?
We have a variety of pots from 2-6inch size. You can check here to see how to identify the right size pot for your succulent 😉 succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/choosing-the-right-size-pot-for-your-succulents
Beautiful ❤
Thanks 🥰
What is the name of this sacculant
It's cotyledon orbiculata or pig's ear
We use Lavender Pebble Graptopetalum
I have a feeling that direct sun will kill the propagation process. But my big question is, aside from all of this loud annoying music, how often do you water or spray propagating succulent leaves and cuttings?
Don't water until roots begin to form. Then water about 3 times a month and let the soil dry out before you water again.
@@SucculentsBox
Es jade ??
@@almadelparaiso4097 did you mean especially jade plant leaves? Those leaves always rotted on me. As a kid my grandmother must have had a real Green Thumb because all she did was stick the Jade leaf vertically into the soil and it grew a new plant. But she always let the soil completely dry out between watering. I would have waited until the tip callus over first.
what is the soil mix ?
Hi. There are usually three main components of succulent soil mixture: sand, potting soil, and perlite or pumice; which helps the succulents to prevent root rot 😉
@@SucculentsBox Any tips on ratios for the mix?
@@redforestx7371 Hi, usually, the best mixing ratio of these three elements is two parts sand, two parts gardening soil, and one-part perlite or pumice 😉
Is there a particular time to propogate /behead a succulent? Secondly, can this operation be done when the plant is dormant?
Hi, the best time to propagate succulents is in their growing season (normally Spring & Summer). And that also means we should not do it when the plants are dormant 😉
Thank you very much for the reply succulent box. 🙏✌️💐
