What you are seeing in the drop on good earnings, once again is institutional accumulation by using their brokers and hedge funds to short sell the stock to drive it down on the other side. They are literally trying to get retail out so they can have a stable stock for 401k and ETF funds....that they can control and be less volatile. To get there they have to use these techniques to drive retail out.
I don't think so. They're just making money shorting it, or lending it at a loss so they can pick it up cheaper. Profit is everything.
Actually tech revenue dropped from Q4 to Q1, and Noto stated that Q2 is seasonally a slow quarter?! Important to know, tech accounts includes Sofi's own member accounts. Ideally we would hope for tech revenue to increase QoQ, not decrease and increase from external sources, and not from internal accounts.

too much retail investors. retail investors are mostly people who can't manage their emotions and have in reality no long term thinking and no plan. they always have a reason to sell, like today. and cause the investment decision of most retail is based on emotions instead of knowledge, its bad for the stock itself.
@Mario-vr2ul SoFi stock is totally controlled and manipulated by the options market and professional traders and shorts BECAUSE it is mostly retail-owned, not because retail investors' emotional selling.

Look at the revenue numbers: ~95 of ~600 is Tech Platform. The rest: 5/6th of it is a “bank” ->> it is a bank, just get over it

@@drissezzinedeblas5667 its quite literally a bank, so don't know what you are trying to say. the bank app holds many different services, and with the NBA partnership it's blasted everywhere. once a customer joins a bank they arent going to leave, thats a given
The stock is trash they sold this after hours in March and crashed it 20% one day after. They crashed it pre market today..... it's a $7.00 move on after a.dead cat bounce as a broad market sell off will come.and sofi cant hold 7 or even 6. Thank God I sold in the 8s after eating several years of opportunity cost. Had a hunch this "growth stock's" growth would continue to slow. On top of SoFi clearly having lost the war to Hood on the brokerage side and the tech branch continuing to be a nothing burger it's pretty clear this stock isn't going anywhere until the Fed pivots which isn't happening this year. If she gets into the 5 I'll start to buy back in.
