We are deceiving ourselves if we think we can live together without calling for a restructuring of the system that united us together because we hate each other a lot.I don't know how long We should keep on pretending as if we like ourselves
Ali Ndume have not read the bill but he was one of the major antagonist to the bill just because of hatred. He is probably serving his last term as a senator because he is democratically naive
Please update us on the stakeholders of the 753 seized estates in Abuja. Who approved it? Can the money for this huge project traceable? Begging the government to give me my own share of the estate as a citizen. The estate belongs to all citizens . It’s our money.
Yes let president Tinubu meet with different ethnic groups:men, women and youth to ask them what they really want. All regions should be the same because government expenditures can be raised from agriculture, and other resources, including human resources. The North claims they have more natural resources so its should not be a problem for them how to raise money for government expenditures and to pay foreign debt which Nigeria is said to be number 3. Building billions of Naira house for VP and buying aeroplane, how is the money supposed to be raised?
32:17. Does anyone noticed how the presenter quickly diverted the discussion from the main topic to "the issue between Afe Babalola and Dele Farotimi"? Please, what has that gotten to do with the issue of Tax reform? If Chief Edwin Clarke was gaslighting the North or talked against the Igbos, 'Laolu Akande, would've continued the line of discussion. We're not all stupid!
The elderstate man trying to point out the fact that no point of communicating with the citizens established by Mr. President about plans and execution of such plans for the betterment of the people.
You are right. People will not accept truth; to me, your observation is right as much as we have regards for our elders, their their generation have failed Nigeria. Don't forget that Nigeria trained most of them. A legacy they could not preserve for generations after them@josepineegodibie8107
The title of this Video is misleading as it is inciting. At best I see it as NORTHERPHOBIC if the term exists. The Elder statesman said more salient things that should have been the title. At the very beginning he said things like: 'Politicians and Nigerians are the greatest enemies of Nigeria', 'Nigerians don't know how to manage diversity ', 'Nigerians should unite for Nigeria ', 'President Tinubu committed some mistakes' and many more. These should have been more apt as title. The 'Arrogance' word Mr Clark used is so passive and not weighty enough to be the headline if it were not for the clear disregard for the North. How unfortunate?
The Southerners should stop arrogance of power and sectional hypocrisy using this tax reforms bill. This is a democracy where everyone has his opinion on any law amendment.
Feel free to make your contributions. If there are areas you want amended please go to the public hearing and make your point there. That is how democracy works. You must be willing to listen to arguments from all sides. Overall, most people believe that the bill is a good one. We need not waste time on it. We wasted a lot of time on the PIB and it impacted investment in the oil and gas industry.
@@olayinkaadeleye3134 You should then stop blackballing people who don't support the bill. This is democracy not a dictator rule. If you don't know how democracy works you should ask your social studies teacher to educate you instead of putting the shirt of hypocrisy and trivial sentiment.
@ I don’t know who is blackballing you. Talk to your legislators to vote against the bill if you are not happy with it. The tax reform bill aims to give tax relief to the poor and small businesses. It is also structured to ensure that States that generate revenue get to keep more of it. That will motivate states that currently have great potential to invest and generate money for themselves. Nigeria has so much potential and all the states should pull their weight to contribute to the national economy.
Same way people talked against state policing for years and are now grappling with insurrection and banditry. The same people are now advocating for state and community policing many years after working against it. Let us not waste our time holding on to positions that are not logical. We wasted so many years on this security issue and many lives have been lost. We also wasted time on the PIB and lost investment in the oil and gas industry. Leave sentiments and focus on logic! The Northern region has more mineral resources, population and land mass than the south. The tax reform bill will actually favor the north if the Governors are willing to work and take advantage of the opportunity the bill offers.
@@olayinkaadeleye3134 It seems you are ignorant about the tax bill. told you that the bill is about encouraging states to generate revenue? The bill is about a tax transformation system not about generating revenue. The common Nigerians have not accepted the tax reform you are talking about. It's only you the Yorubas that are supporting it because you want to use it to keep enriching your region especially now that you have a Yoruba person as a president. I agree that some portions of the bill transform the tax system in Nigeria. But you should educate yourself that this is a democracy where everyone has his opinion and we may have some disagreement on certain issues in our laws.

Let Mr president divide this country, there's nothing left in Nigeria again.
⚖️👨🏽⚖️📝💼 Only Senate & House of Representatives have CONSTITUTIONAL POWER to divide Nigeria into separate regions
Happy New year to and the entire family remain blessed
Great elder statesman
Please let us know what happens when we were not born

The previous leaders and rulers failed Nigeria. What else do they want to do for Nigeria? Put the country deeper in the hole and abyss?
I think you meant to say previous ruinners and dealers

We can all see the injustice 😮
Edwin has been part of Nigerian problems, he’s one of the people that advised Gowon to renegade and abandon the aburi agreements.

I can’t understand what this old man is saying. What exactly is he struggling to say?
Hypothesis in Council.
Why did God bless you with age
Age does not give wisdom.
Clark is an old cargo
May you never get to his "Old cargo" age
Pray for you to reach his age..
At least better than the old cargo from your end.
You are right.
