It took me awhile to figure it out, but when the cooler is sitting flat the wheels are actually not supporting it. That's why it is hard to move. Lifting the other end of the cooler sets the wheels back down. :) You probably figured that out later, but thought I'd mention it for others. Also, I built a ventilated fence of sorts to set around mine that keeps things in the cargo area from getting up against the fans. It also keeps my battery backup in place.

      Oh yes,
The "hard to slide around" thing was actually a compliment... It really stays put thanks to those nice sticky rubber feet.

They also have a 31 L drawer version which you can put in the trunk easily, and open it without needing to move it. That's the one we're probably going to get if we do (though we'd have to figure out getting it to Canada since that's not one of the models that they ship to us). Even the top opening 30 L one without wheels, which is shorter than yours at 16.2" needs to be moved deeper into the trunk to close the trunk, and closer to the opening to open the cooler. Of course, in the trunk you need to get power to it from somewhere, and the drawer version doesn't have a place to slot a battery into (though you can of course plug it into one). In early versions of the 2023 Ioniq 6 manual, it listed a 12V socket in the trunk (Were you early enough to get it included?), but other 2023 Ioniq 6 owners, and my mother with a 2024 Ioniq 6 Ultimate don't have one. So we either need to put a battery in the trunk or run a cable to it from one of the sockets inside the passenger compartment. I haven't checked how difficult that is. I know we could just slip one between the seats, but I worry about friction and vibration eventually rubbing a hole in the wire insulation.

Thanks for the comment!. I actually already have a smaller one from a different brand, however it's not as nice as the Bodega one. Unfortunately my ioniq 6 does not have a 12 volt outlet in the trunk, at least not from factory lol.
Make sure anyone you know who's interested in buying one of these uses Edsgarage for a discount code! 😁
      Thank you for the comment!

From what I've seen in your other videos I figured that you had the skills to add an outlet to your trunk if you wanted one. My mother did ask her dealership whether they could add one as a dealer installed option since the car appears to have been designed for it, and they have access to all of the factory parts used in, for example, the Ioniq 5, which while it has a 12V outlet in the trunk as standard in Canada, is available in other markets without it in some trims. She was told that while they could absolutely install one in an Ioniq 5 if someone came to them with one that didn't have it from the factory, they aren't allowed to install it for the Ioniq 6. But that of course, they can't stop us from doing it ourselves or having a third party installer doing it, and it won't void the warranty as long as it is done properly and isn't responsible for any issues. So they're understanding anyway, even if they can't help directly. Another Canadian Ioniq 6 owner on a forum said that in their car the mounting hole for the outlet in the trunk is moulded into the panel where it's shown in the manual, though it's covered with fabric, so maybe it can be done without too much trouble. Still might be easier to just go with a battery though.
      Thanks for the reply!

How did you change the strip under the doors and in the back of the ioniq 6 from silver to black with that orange line? It looks really great!

      Thanks!
I got the silver bit wrapped in black vinyl and then added the orange pinstripe myself.. the pinstripe is from Amazon, super easy to put on.
