Absolutely, I am going to pin this comment so guys can find you. Have to ask, what camera are you mounting down under the step and are you screwing it into the hull????? Those are crazy great images

@@KenSmithFishing Suction mount. I may have lost a camera or two along the way. Tethering only gets you broken parts back. I would rather lose the camera than have it come back and hit the boat or the prop. Some shots are worth it.

Thanks for these videos. My father and I went from a 06 Rangerz19 to a 2020 Ranger z518 with a 200hp. Has 22p 3blade furry. I know it is what Ranger says goes with the boat and motor but it isn’t dialed. My dealer says I need to learn how to drive it. But out of our last 7 boats never had a boat porpoise like this one. I know it is a front heavy boat and tried putting all weight to the back with little to no help. Thanks for creating video that prove the point that every boat and motor prop combos aren’t equal. And have to be dialed in. Since dealer won’t help at least your videos are trying too. Going with the wind is just about impossible against wind better. But at least someone is trying to help figure out the right prop.

Thank you!!! This will help so Many people. There are so many comments on forums and groups about props and the information is not always correct. As you know there are a tremendous amounts of opinions about what we should run on our boats. This video series will finally clear up a lot of misinformation..

Let's hope so, I read a bunch of what I saw on forums and some seemed accurate but some seemed.... less so, so I wanted to learn myself and bring some real experts into the conversation!

Brilliant video Ken. Cannot wait for the next one. Understanding the function of my Chopper a lot better and also why I saw a significant performance gain when I had it cleaned up and properly balanced.

@@KenSmithFishing I did post details in Vid 1 but I run a glass boat called a Ruffnek Raker X16 16ft (build in Zimbabwe, Southern Africa) around 1996 as my motor is an older 1996 Evinrude 90HP V4. Runs beautifully for it's years. I believe the hull was based on an older Ranger and it handles rough water better than a lot of other bigger and more modern boats.

Great videos Ken. I love these type videos where we learn all the in depth matter about all aspects of our bassboats. Keep these type videos coming, please. Can't wait to see your reactions when you test drive an Allison. Thanks.

Thanks for the videos, great learning tool.....several years ago i put a camera on my transom to see what the motor/prop looks like when running and i just happen to get a shot of lower unit hitting a small floating log....for a small piece of wood, it lifted the motor out of water.....it on my YT page at the very end of video......

Wow that's alot of info. I'll just tell you what I'm running. I am in a 2019 Pheonix 921 pro xp with a Suzuki 250ss 27p 3blade scorpion prop. Tournament load 2 people 70mph. I haven't tried raising Jack plate yet as I just got this boat but that may add more speed. Hole shot is very good.

Ken you are already doing a boat review. I would love a 10 best Texas lake review and why. I already PM'd you on why your choose Rayburn over Fork ( a couple of months ago?). Share that with everyone else. And what are the best lakes and baits for those lakes..

I've not seen it happen, but yeah in the summer or winter you certainly can. I'm not sure that in one or two of Ben Matsubu's wins there might have quietly been some drop shot fish mixed in, but he'll never tell!
