I tested this claim, as we had a used car lot (I'm on my 50th personal vehicle, not including motorcycles) at the time, by applying RainX to a specific line, and then not applying anything to an otherwise clean windshield. At night, sure enough, the glare from oncoming headlights was increased. Up until that time, I had been thinking my eyes were getting too old - even in my late 20's - where I should not be driving at night, but instead it was the cumulative effects of constant glare from the RainX. So, the only test I want to see in person is a half-treated windshield of a low car while driving at night against oncoming headlights. If the glare is increased, it isn't for me.

RianX is snake oil. It’s a horrible gimmicky product. Any spray wax works 100x better at water shedding off glass. I’m excited to try this product on my new project.
I'm also a used car dealer and I have to say for my personal cars the best single "mod" I do is ceramic tint on the windshield. 70%-80% helps reduce blinding HID in projectors in squared trucks while I'm in my S2000 or Corvette. It also keeps the dash cooler, you don't need sunglasses, and can still see at night. It's worth every penny on a car you plan to keep for a bit.
Shit for 10 bucks you'd be stupid not to at least try it if you live in a heavy rain region like Washington or south east Texas.. it rains here every couple days here very rare we get a full week of good weather
As a certified installer I can 100% attest to the hydrophobic properties of Glassparency, it’s not only great for cars but I’m a primarily marine installer and even saltwater sheets right off.
@Winterpillow There are two methods when a certified installer coats it for your car you can be registered in two ways as a return to shop customer or a mail out. The mail out option will send you a folder of moist towelettes that have the maintenance solution treatment and are applied every 90 days. Or if you return to shop the installer will treat it with the maintenance solution every 90 days. This all depends on the installer and application.
I’ve found that this stuff has amazing longevity compared to pretty much any other ceramic coating on glass or specific windshield coating. The hydrophobic properties are great as well. Basically, if you don’t want to reapply your windshield coating every 2 days in the rain then this is the best way to go, especially if you maintain it.
I’ve been a Rain-X guy for years. Undoubtedly I’m not one to believe that something is 5 times better than Rain-X to be worth $100. But, for $10 I’ll try anything! Thanks fellas, this is exciting, no doubt.
I use RainX windshield washer, no application time, no maintenance, and works great. Only downside is it leaves a white residue on the areas where the wipers dont touch, but it cleans easily

Well time to put this stuff to the real test on my 2008 FJ Cruiser. The front windshield is almost perfectly vertical so rain x and most coatings either don’t last long or don’t work at all. As well as the side mirrors don’t get the best air flow so water doesn’t really bead off then when on or off the road

Update one, couldn't pick up the package because all the shipping was not paid and the post office is asking for $2.50 more after paying the $9.95 on glassparency's website.
Update two, I'm done applying it and now we will see how it works. Was it easy to apply? Really not bad, but it would be easier if I had a smaller car. Mine is a 2017 Ford Flex so I had to get a step to work on so I could be high enough to reach the whole windshield. Also, I had enough to do the windshield and back window fo the car.

Honestly cant wait to try this on my Camaro. I have always wanted to do a ceramic coating but its really not worth the money currently since its a V6 car. Defiantly cant complain about 10$ to try a product and I expect to be blown away and hopefully put it on the rest of my future cars.

I have the SB3 ceramic windshield coating on my daily and its awesome. I drive most time in rain with no wipers on. Would to try this on my other cars
