What does a Loring S15 Falcon warm up cycle look like?

A really great feature of the Loring S15 Falcon is its automatic warm up feature. It’s function is designed to have the roaster take control of how it warms up based on a set of pre-defined variables, namely the idle high and idle low set points. It is programmed to repeat a burner on, purge cycle three times between the high and low temperature set points and then hand itself back to the person controlling the system. I like to repeat this process for between 45 to 60 minutes depending on the ambient temperature within the roastery. This then forms my warm up process before I load the first batch for roasting.
I’m sure there are other ways of designing a set of warm up procedures, however, having a consistent approach throughout each production day is the key. A repeatable process equals repeatable profiles and consistent roasting.
