      It depends on the case. Look for the flute opening. If the file looks distorted, if the blades looks flat its better to discard them.

    M here with a question today, is it ok if we apply fluroide varnish under amalgum restoration ?

    • @Aspire32
      @Aspire32  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normal varnish is preferred because fluoride varunish is for external surface to arrest caries.

    can we apply light cured varnish after curing of composite on it's surface to act as stain resistant ????

    • @Aspire32
      @Aspire32  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to prevent staining then you can use an unfilled resin which is available specially for final application after composite. Its available with ultradent.. we dont use Varnish.

    Is there is another way to estimate remaining dentin thickness without x-ray ?
    like, measurements as a rule of thumb.
    Unrelated question, Is the strength of amalgam affected by sectional thickness and depth?

    • @Aspire32
      @Aspire32  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are some electronic mesurement devices. I am not sure about the name. They can help one to measure the rdt.
      Answer to your 2nd question is the thickness of the Amalgam. Depending on that minimum depth who be made.
      I have explained this in the 2nd part of this video series. Here is the link.
