    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
    George (John Lithgow) gives Harry (Kevin Peter Hall) a proper goodbye, and Harry returns to the woods to join his family of sasquatches.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
    While vacationing in the Pacific Northwest, the Henderson clan's dad, George (John Lithgow); mom, Nancy (Melinda Dillon); daughter, Sarah (Margaret Langrick); and son, Ernie (Joshua Rudoy), accidently run over a strange animal with their car, and when they get out to see what it is, they find the seemingly dead body of a hairy Bigfoot-type monster (Kevin Peter Hall). Believing that the creature is a grizzly bear, the Hendersons take it home, planning to stuff the beast and put it on display in their living room. Predictably, the hirsute monster revives and is adopted by the family as a pet. Originally conceived as a TV series by comedian Brad Garrett, Harry and the Hendersons ultimately did make it to the small screen as a weekly syndicated sitcom in 1990, with Kevin Peter Hall repeating the title role during the series' first 24 episodes.

    That final scene is the only reason I think there's even a sliver of a chance that Bigfoot could be real. They're standing right there and you don't see them until they move and they're only feet away. That was brilliant.

Add to the fact that they let him reunite with members of his own species makes this an even more heartwarming ending!

      I agree, it was sad. However, if the Hendersons want to see Harry again, they can follow his footprints which was mentioned on the video clip titled "Harry and the Hendersons (8/9) Movie CLIP - Goodbye My Friend" where Sarah Henderson said that they will never see him again and Ernie Henderson said they can see him again if they follow his footprints.

    This was a sad ending that Harry was going back to his home in the forest leaving the Henderson family. I would have loved if they made a second film called "Harry and the Henderson's 2: The Henderson's Move To The Woods" where the Henderson family decided to move to the woods and live closer to Harry and Harry invites the Henderson family to come and stay with him and his family along with Jacque LaFleur and Dr. Rightwood becoming close friends with everyone, especially since Jacque LaFleur became a good guy at the end of this film.

    A sequal could be Jok Lafleur and Dr Writewood could accidently stumble upon Lock Ness Monster and they has to keep it a secret and George Henderson could be a hunter trying to kill it!

    As George was thanking and saying goodbye to Harry here, he should have at least apologized to Harry for losing his temper at him and punching him in the face a little earlier.

    • @BTSandra
      @BTSandra 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Look at the way George holds and caresses Harry's cheek, exactly where he'd hit him earlier. He *is* apologizing, through touch. And Harry definitely understands. That's the way I've always seen it.

    • @afriendofbean
      @afriendofbean 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's a very good point. The way how George was touching Harry's cheek from 1:09-1:12 was like George was saying "I'm sorry, I hope I didn't hurt you badly" and with Harry lightly pushing George back from 1:14-1:16 was like Harry was saying "that's okay, I understand and I accept your apology." However, if George also said in words that he was apologizing along with touching Harry's cheek at the same time would have also been very sweet and I guess a little more understanding that it was an apology touch George was doing.

      @gogtjgog 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** I didn't think he needed to, cause when harry was hiding in the tree and seen George making foot prints and seen the rest of the fake ones, harry realised he did care about him so that's he smiled, it was cute to

    • @afriendofbean
      @afriendofbean 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +gogtjgog That is true. Harry did see George making footprints as Harry was in the tree with birds on Harry's arm where Harry felt in his heart that George still loved him. However, Harry knew George loved him but, George didn't know he was in the tree where George should have still apologized to Harry. (Of course, George was probably doing an apology touch from 1:09-1:12 as BTSandra mentioned).

    I know it's heartbreaking and sad that they had to let Harry go. But it was the only option for them, because of the people back in the city wanting to try and hurt him because they thought he was dangerous. Including lefluer. But here, he gets to find out for himself that Harry is different from what books, sighting photos and news reports tell us.

    When Wallace Wrightwood put his arm around Jacque LaFleur from 1:55-2:07, hopefully Jacque wasn't smelling very bad anymore because when his lawyer got him released from jail he said to Jacque "you need a bath" especially since Jacque got arrested when he was inside a dumpster full of trash.

    Sasquatch is real and this movie subtely explains why you never see them,they can see you,infact it's likely they're watching you when you go out into the woods,but they blend into their surroundings so well you might mistake a patch of their furry body for some old moss...
