Turtle Bay Tuesday: Preston Donion goes face to face with Rattlesnakes, Danger Noodle and Precious!

FULL STORY: This week's Turtle Bay Tuesday features two Rattlesnakes at Turtle Bay named Danger Noodle and Precious.
Preston is joined by Adrienne from Turtle Bay to give some information on these fascinating predators. She said, these are Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes and happen to be the only species of rattlesnake that we have here in Northern California. She said we're actually pretty lucky because this species is fairly docile, not aggressive and they don't chase you. They really don't want to be bothered in fact. She tells us her main goal is to educate people about how to live safely among rattlesnakes and the best way to do that, is to be aware of your surroundings when you're gardening or out and about. She said please don't stick your hand into a rock or a wood pile without knowing whether there's a rattlesnake there first. When you're out for a run, especially around dawn or dusk, make sure you watch where you're stepping because they do come out to sit on the pathways to warm up before they go out to hunt.
