- Ranjani and Gayatri present a unique blend of two different compositions as they sing in the serene Someshwara Temple, Mangalore. Purandaradasa's Siva Darushana is presented in part as an ugabhoga which flows into the popular composition of Thanjavur Sankara Iyer in Raga Revathi. On the day of Purandaradasa Aradhana, this piece which brings together two composers and two languages pays obeisance to both this great saint and Lord Siva in this beautiful shore temple.

My absolute favorite thing about RaGa sisters is their genuine love and affection for each other. Two sisters, trained identically by the same gurus and with the same years of experience still manage to stand their own without undermining the other's talent. It's impossible not to take inspiration from their encouraging glances, their spontaneous sabhash & bhesh-bhesh, and their kindness and humor when the other is slightly out of sync. It takes immense strength of character to consistently be there for each other, respecting each other's strengths and weaknesses. There's no greater testimony to the power of music. It must open up wells of joy in the heart and wash away pettiness and negativity. It's like they know how to speak a love language most of the world does not know how to. 😍👏

What a rich Kannada diction! and our dear Akkas always make it a point to sing the composition with absolute chaste in the language it is composed in! The love for Kannada and Tamil is so appreciated! Happy Mahashivratri 2023! Dear Akkas could you please also sing "SARVAPARADHAVA KSHAMISAYYA" set in Keeravani, a rare Purandara Dasara Pada popularized by Dr R K Sreekanthan mama, M T Selva Narayana mama and I had heard an old recording of Srirangam Ratnam sing this! This song is akin to the sangathis of Puniyum Oru Koti (Keeravani), a masterpiece on Maha Periyava! 🙏
