That was the best, longest grind I have ever seen in real life. Not a video game, although I wish I still cld play it bc #TonyHawk ProSk8r was where its at, representing 1999-2002!
I’m friends with Richie and he still skates almost everyday when the weather permits (but we live near the beach so outside of the rainy season that’s all the damn time). He might not be as agile as he was 10 years ago but he still is doing shit to blow people’s minds (especially skitching behind cars in a country where 99% of people not only have never even seen shit like that but they couldn’t even imagine it…..but I’m not gonna blow up his spot with specific details of his location). Anyway, point being - once it’s in your blood it’s hard to get out. Even though it maybe waning in popularity it’s something that will never escape you (I’ll skate with him playing pickup hockey but I can’t street skate - my skills are only there for hockey)
Habeev07 The X Games are a bit ugly though, but still it would be a statement. I love all action sports and I there is simply no reason for not to include it.
Nah, theres other big events that show blading in a good light, Huge contests of all the pros a ew times a year, Bitter Cold Show Down and The Blading Cup to name a couple. Theres also Nitro Circus showcasing blades on the mega ramp. We're pretty happy where we are, sure we dont make millions on sponsorship deals, but we're happy with our tight community.
So many great shots in this edit. Love the opening grind on the Granville street bridge. And the backside at Stanley park where Richie slides out of the frame and you're not worried because you know he's got it.
He makes falling look like it didnt hurt him at all, when if I did that I would be out for a year! I fell backwards on my butt on a half pipe a year ago, and my back pain is still rampant as on the day it happened. I am alot older now (almost 37, but have the mentality of a teenager) I seem to dream bigger than my reality can actually grasp, but I am still learning and loving to sk8 as much as I can. I just got into aggressive sk8ing, and so glad I did. Its alot different from inline rollerblading, but both are fun in their own right. Xoxo~Kate aka #LilBlady
This guy is king! I've BEEN WAITING for an aggressive skate like his model to come out since the 90's. A speed skate with grind spaces, as oppsed to the awkward bulk of aggressive skates that I had to get used to. Which honestly made it feel like a different sport. They could grind but there is 0 cruising power with fat, heavy skates, and 55mm wheels.
Welcome to aggressive inline =) And if JSRF is your all-time favorite game like it is mine, check out these skates. abc7.com/shopping/rocketskates-offer-motorized-version-of-roller-skates/451888/ They're basically like the early-model prototype skates of the skates in JSRF, or ATs from Air Gear
Ana Rui Fonseca There is no differentiation between men's or women's for this specific skate. I recommend checking online some shops such as aggressivemall, rollerwarehouse or shop-task. Good luck skating!
Typically smaller wheels (although i believe these came with 76mm wheels as opposed to the normal 56-60mm) and space between wheels 2 and 3 (if using 4 wheels) for grinding. "Soulplates" on the instep/outstep of the skate for grinding.
good video! lots of this filmed on the west end I see... the Davy street locals must really appreciate the blading skills! Is it hard to grab the front wheels while your rolling??!
HMM amazing how this just popped up in my feed. Skating was the best part of my life, glad I was young in the 90's when roller blades were the shit, going to A.S.A. and N.I.S.S,. skating with the legends. Such an amazing time. If only I was still made out of rubber.
Shadow would be proud
That first grind reminded me so hard of Jet Set Radio Future. Awesome.
Bro I thought the same thing
Taking me back 😭😭😭😭😭
Yup! Just grinding forever on any surface 😂
Yeah I just came from tumblr put Let Mom Sleep from jet Grind Radio on it
Or sonic adventure 2.
Stage 4:
Radical Highway
1st Mission: Break through the besieging military!
Still probably one of the best rollerblading edit ever made
0:09 - 0:26 where are the floating spray cans?
Wow, thought a grind that long was only possible in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater!
pro skater 2
***** Yep, that grind is longer, but this one is more exciting to watch.
That was the best, longest grind I have ever seen in real life. Not a video game, although I wish I still cld play it bc #TonyHawk ProSk8r was where its at, representing 1999-2002!

Real life Jet Set Radio! This guy's pretty bad ass!
This literally radical highway in real life 😂😂
I'm mesmerized by the skyscraper slowly going by in that first shot.
Seriously. Epic.
You would overdose if you drove to Toronto on the Gardiner Express highway man
Absolutely Incredible...Richie you have pushed blading to new heights!
That back ufo inspired me to start skating! 7 years on I’m still riding, met a great group of friends and currently run a city skate group! 🙏🏻
Are you still skating? How old were you when you started?

He's got such a fun creative style!
TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the X GAMES removal of AGRESSIVE INLINE.
BRING BLADES BACK!!!!
Habeev07 The X Games are a bit ugly though, but still it would be a statement. I love all action sports and I there is simply no reason for not to include it.

Don't forget about Winterclash. International connection! :)
I was never into inline skates...but I am now!
So many great shots in this edit. Love the opening grind on the Granville street bridge. And the backside at Stanley park where Richie slides out of the frame and you're not worried because you know he's got it.
that first rail is ridiculously long, sick skates
Richie Eisler makes it look so easy. Even when he falls he looks like, "I meant to do that."

Outkast is like a cherry on top of this video!
All I could think of while watching this was "Looks like someone has been playing Sonic Adventure 2." XD

Loaf
Connor McWilliams Good evening fellow loaf.
are rollerblades cool again?
They should be. My world was shattered in 2000 at age 8 when I couldnt be caught rollerblading anymore lol
Rollerblade if you wanna. Embrace the underdog status. Everyone who waited for skateboarding to become mainstream is an ultra pussy.
Had to put the sound on mute, but some of the best skating I've ever seen! Holy Jeeeeeessssusssss!
really makes me miss skating... maybe i'll get some new blades, can someone tell me about the model used in the video?
Last frame in the video shows them. USD Carbon Free Richie Eisler III's.
Imi sorry if it is stupid question, but is there sex differentiation in models?
Ana Rui Fonseca

Amazing……. what kind of skates are these? How are they different from regular inline skates..?
Typically smaller wheels (although i believe these came with 76mm wheels as opposed to the normal 56-60mm) and space between wheels 2 and 3 (if using 4 wheels) for grinding. "Soulplates" on the instep/outstep of the skate for grinding.
This is fucking awesoomee! Skate to create. freestyle blading for life Go Richie!
good video! lots of this filmed on the west end I see... the Davy street locals must really appreciate the blading skills! Is it hard to grab the front wheels while your rolling??!
Rocket grab? Depends what your body is going while grabbing. Can be easy, can be pretty heavy with spins.
IM THE COOLEST!
EPIC stuff. Just WOW!
This man is a video game.
Anyone know the name of the song?
🎶 🎵 We Cruising on a Radical highway 🎶 🎵
That first backside...how is it so clean!?

But that freaking cess slide at 1:38 o.o HOW
That move is a Cess Bash coz he combines a Cess Slide and a Stair Bash.
