Really useful guide to adjustment this type of front derailleur. Nice structured approach and explanation. Thank you! Got to go and make some checks on my FDs now
Thank You sir! The content is not as polished as a professional like you might produce but over time production value will step up. Thanks for watching! Any riding plans for this weekend yet?
Great video! I learned something again. Didn't realize how the free end of the cable loops back around so low. I always just went under the barrel adjuster. And Jess ... well what can we say? Please keep helping George with these videos. You brighten the morning, even way over here in Pittsburgh ;)
A Pittsburgh girl helping out a Pittsburgh guy learn something new seems appropriate. Jess works all the time it seems but I hope she helps me film more. I had a good friend Juan who used to do a lot of filming for me but he moved 90 minutes away 😢 Thanks for watching!
@@cyclingjoezone ha ha I actually just mapped it out. It's longer than 90 minutes. Let's do it again with my usual disclaimer "It's about 94-99 miles depending which freeway you take. It will take you at least 2 hours depending on traffic" 😀
I had a Fuji Altamira with DuraAce DI2 / Ultegra groupset. Man I still can’t believe I sold it when I thought I was getting out of biking for good. Bought it from that website bikesdirect. It was a batch of NOS they picked up somewhere. Paid about 1500 .. maybe less. It was back in 2016.. the bike may have a 2012 model? Crazy.
@@lenkomsa1399 Thank You Len! Some silly people are making comments on my pre ride video about not becoming Durian Rider. Ha ha it really isn’t !! What is a pain is the pain in your wallet when things are no longer compatible. A mechanical drivetrain last forever. Just last week I had a guy with a 10 speed Ultegra 6770. His rear derailleur stopped working - corrosion issues as well. You can’t buy a 10 speed Ultegra rear derailleur for that groupset. You can’t buy any other derailleur to work with that drivetrain. So now the customer either has to buy an entire new 11 speed Di2 groupset if he wants to keep Di2. Or he has to buy an entire mechanical groupset like 105 to go 11 speed or Tiagra to keep some of his 10 speed group - wheels, cassette Crankset Mechanical groupsets last forever. Are extremely easy to install, maintain and takes seconds to make adjustments. Cables and housing are inexpensive - no batteries to deal with no worrying about running out of charge on a ride on a trip while traveling. Mechanical systems are awesome for home mechanics and bike shops - electronic group sets are the real pain 😜
Jess please keep helping Georgie boy Rev. Good Job. Great video. 👍
Thank You Dan! She definitely was helpful getting some camera angles I couldn’t do with one hand wrenching and the other hand holding the camera

IDK how George manages to film as much as he does, balancing a phone in one hand and a wrench in the other:)

Long live Steel City! ❤
Hell yeah, George! It's love at first sight 😂
Aww that’s what I thought when we first met 🥰
Love at first brake adjustment!
So much better than gcn
Thank You Ian!
Jess did great but what happened to the other camera-person?
Juan, my dear friend, moved about 90 minutes away 😭

Sometimes we regret more the bikes we sold than the bikes we didn’t buy. I regret selling my Cervelo Soloist the bike I did RAAM on.
Definitely more Jess please!

Do you reuse master links or do you recommend replacing them?
Shimano recommends one use only sir
