- Taliban has reportedly surrounded resistance fighters in the Panjshir valley from all sides. Former Afghanistan vice president Amrullah Saleh confirms that hundreds of Taliban fighters have arrived at the Panjshir entrance. As Taliban clashed with resistance fighters in the surrounding districts, Panjshir was preparing for war.
Ahmad Massoud, leader of the anti-Taliban group, said he was hoping for negotiations but was ready for war. Forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud, have established themselves in his Panjshir stronghold. According to sources, both sides are standing ready for military action.

Except back in the days of his father Ahmad Shah Massoud, the valley had access to tadjikistan for supplies and had some level of support from india. Now its completely cut and isolated. If they surrender to the Taliban, everything has been for nothing. All has been lost. Hell will come down to your land. Afghanistan will never recover. If you do your research correctly there were never 300,000 afghan soldiers but around 90000 soldiers. The US army contractor wrote down these amount of soldiers only on papier to make more money etc. And they didn't get paid most of the time and not enough ammo to fight.
