Join us as we get an early start in the Pacific Ocean passing under the Bridge Of The Americas and through the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel locks... under the Centennial Bridge and through the Centennial Cut... past the Chagres River and through Gatun Lake... then finally through the Gatun Locks out to the Atlantic Ocean... let's do this thing!! :D

We loved the Panama Canal cruise so much we did it twice. First East to west then West coast to east coast.
Loved watching this video... my gr3at grandfather was involved in the building of the canal and my grandfather, as teenager, was there with him!! I've always wanted to do this trip, but at this point in my life, doubt that will happen, so that made your video even more special to me. Thank you for that 🙃

We did a partial transit in the old canal on the Zuiderdam, using the old locks and with the bow open. Amazing. Then a smaller boat excursion for the remainder, with a bus back. Before your next transit, watch the documentary “A Man, A Plan, A Canal”. They had it on the tv on the ship.

Stayed in Panama in 1985. Our group had a private tour of Miraflores locks to see gears and operations. Hope to go on HAL in Oct for a transit trip

Panama Canel transit. Watching your videos helped make that decision! Was the piano player in Crooners Don Jaun? If so he has been on our last 2 Princess cruises. Alaska Coral Princess Sept 2019 and Alaska Majestic Princess Sept 2023. He's great!

I think I went on the Panama canal cruise 2 or 3 times all west bound from ft lauderdale

Thankee! The salmon run can really vary from year to year, but we've found the last two to three weeks of August to be a pretty safe bet!! :D
