How to Use Display Capture in OBS Studio

A display capture source is the best way to record your screen using OBS. The display capture will allow you to select the specific monitor that you want to record, and show whatever is currently open on the selected screen.
Although the display capture method can be used to record your screen or browser, you can also use the display source for gameplay. When streaming the display capture method is preferred to ensure that your screen's refresh rate isn't being limited by the capture method. This is particularly important when playing games with a high FPS.
When you have the display capture added the source size may not match the canvas. Fortunately all capture sources can be resized in OBS to ensure they're taking up the entire canvas size.

Probably not. Copy protected content, so OBS will not capture it.

useless video... how do I capture a window from safari or something else... this is pointless

this video shows you how to use display capture,, which is used to capture your whole screen. If you open Safari on your chosen display it will be captured in OBS. However, instead, you can use window capture or game capture to capture only the Safari window.
