I have the neon green body saved in my cart on GFS. I want to use a dual humbucker pickguard in tortoiseshell and gold covered pickups and hardware but their pickguards don't look like they fit on those bodies at the horn on the guitar so I emailed them to see if they really fit, but they don't seem to reply. Guyker makes a Floyd Rose style floating trem for headless guitars so I want to try that with a headless neck I have from one of my Vito Bratta tribute guitars. Also, as of this posting, GFS has guitar bodies with necks attached from $89 ($99 for "Soloist" Floyd routed bodies). You just supply all the other parts.
I'm actually about to build one myself. It's in the mail, not arrived yet. Haven't decided exactly the pickguard color, but I have a feeling it'll be black 3 ply. Personally not a fan of the white plastic PGs. Really cool build, looks like a lot of fun.
I did this with a Baretta special , it comes with a mahogany body and a very nice Alnico 5 humbucker for $150 brand new, or $80-100 new. The neck is equally as amazing, even has jumbo frets!!
Awesome build! I really do like the stuff GFS has to offer, particularly the bodies. It's nice to see a neck from another unrelated source that fits well. Also, the Floyd 1000s are great! Much better than the specials for sure, and made to Original specs. For other cheaper Floyd options, I also quite like the GFS Floyds (not the speedloaders) except for the strat-style screw-in arms.
Those pickups sounds phenomenal! I’m shocked! I looked them up and couldn’t believe how inexpensive they were! Have you had a lot of luck with inexpensive pickups like that in the past?
I actually like the 1000 series Floyd's. I usually replace the Block with a brass one and that really improves the feel and the sustain!! I like this guitar man! Killer nod to the 80's😊✌️&💙 Oh yeah, I'm a Strat guy too!
Nice grain ! I've seen alot of real Fenders w many less layers. Odd they don't get a license, for the small fee it would add; or maybe Fender is supporting US company cloners.
I love the colour, but the rest of it isn't to my set of specs. Enjoyed the video though. I have an Ibanez bass that needs a repaint and neon pink might have to be it after this inspiration.
Disappointed that the stud holes are not the standard 10mm. For then bragging abiut usa specs. I ordered the sparkle green gonna have to drill it out as well.
I accidentally bought some counterfeit JBL flips. A violation of both ebay and PayPal terms. Despite "No returns" they had to take them back, BUT they never sent me the required return sticker, so now I have all my $ back and 3 really crappy free speakers.... So if you want a free neck, the worst you can do is break even if they send a return sticker. Free neck if they don't. Phony baloney serials wont be at Fenders serial base.

When I routed it for the Floyd , it was solid mahogany not plywood type.
Looks like a lot of fun. How come you cut a half pick guard and not use it?
Looks like it was merely a wiring template and then he moved everything over to the standard pickguard

Yep, as long as they are alnico 5, they sound great. My other vids have inexpensive pickups from the same manufacturer.

ah, thanks. you're right. stamped special right on there. I assume the special was an OEM bridge and was replaced with a 1000, so I got the 1000 box.
