  • SOLIDWORKS provides several Boolean operation tools, but the Intersect command’s options make it versatile due to its ability to incorporate solids, surfaces, and planes. Discover how to use the Intersect command to cut a solid body with a surface body and split a solid with a plane. Finally, combine a cut and a split in a single Intersect feature.

I always find the "which bodies to keep" menu so counterintuitive. Especially when only two bodies make the result - which one is highlighted because it will be deleted, or because it is selected, ... Also, Im more often using solid combine substract, which does not allow for the body substracted to be kept, which is a huge fail for me, having to copy the bodies manually beforehand.

i know, those tutorial videos are always using just a HD screen-resolution, but somehow, even on 2k or 4k resolution, i find myself constantly forced to "scroll" down, resize a window, expand a tree, etc...
oh, and i am using two different resolution screens... and unlike the tool i have used for the last 20 years, Solidworks doesn't allow me to just drag that toolbox over to the other screen.
