  • How I study in med school comes down to using techniques that have been proven to work for me for years. These 8-10 hour study days are hard but as long as you portion your time right, you can be incredibly productive and remember a ton. I hope these techniques help you as a student, no matter what you are studying. As always sub to the channel if you enjoyed!

One question , when do you do your anki cards ? Do you do them after taking notes, do u use already made anki cards ? I’ve been having issues finding if people that take notes also have time to do anki cards

my advice as a first year medical student (So I still have a long way to go), is to take notes about the main structure of the topic without the details, especiall highlighting how something links with something else, and relinquish the flashcards to the details of the topic, that u couldn't possibly remember otherwise.
For example, if u are studying about the structure of the bone, u should know about osteoclasts and osteoblasts, but something more specific and not guessable, like the RANKL, u make a flashcard about. Hope this helps; I'm actually Italian so I hope I haven't made majors mistakes in the english as well.

While I do admire your studious efforts to learning all the stuff in the field of medicine, 80% of that stuff you have spent so much time to learn would not matter when you start working at hospital.

Doesn’t matter. Need to know it to pass exams.

      U can't become a excellent doctor if u don't know the theory

@@DeanJane-jn7jl you would end up forgetting 80% of the theory especially the ones that do not concern your specialty.

@@burnoutminion that's why u must not sell Ur medical books .it's called lifelong learning that is to keep abreast with new discoveries and Ur university knowledge at the same time. Ur education does not end after medical school it's become a game of forgetting and reviewing the old material again Nd again Nd again... to keep it fresh in your mind . that is what separate an excellent doctor from a bad one
