This was a great review! I LOVE Anno 1800, I have been waiting to play all the DLCs until this last Cosmetic one is released in December, then going to try and start a new game, but dang! This scares me for how much stuff there is now, but also so excited they did this! Seriously, Anno 1800 is probably in my top 3 best replayable games of all time.

The Engineer Skyscrapers are so much better looking. They are much closer to the height they ought to be and honestly the Investor towers look a little too austere.
With the potential balancing issues that the Docklands DLC brought, do you find that this DLC helps negate the 'overpoweredness' of the docklands building due to the incredible high demand required to fulfil?
Yes, to an extent. I still use my docklands for goods at lower tiers to make life easier - feels like a big shortcut to cut out various production chains. You could own high life and not docklands, so its not necessary but makes things easier

I always loved the look of this game but found it a little too dense, after watching this though I know get it and really enjoy it. Keep up the great work as long as you can/ want, it's a great watch.
While I get that raid shadow legends is giving you A LOT of money for this ad and it's very difficult to say no it also gives very disingenuous vibes because everyone and their mother knows you dont like this shit. Have some self respect and say no to shit like that. Nothing wrong with paid ads but make sure that it's something that your subscribers wouldn't mind, like that wallet thing or smth.

Yeah I seem to be having some issue where if I move the mouse over a building, the framerate goes bad. If I just hover the mouse over a road or off screen its fine. Trying to figure out whats causing it.
I get that the devs felt tempted to make the Trump joke. Got to say it clashes with the feel-good escapism the game provides; can't imagine many players want to be reminded of the dumpster fire of American politics while playing. Should have been made an Easter egg if anything.
I mean, the game includes jokes about alternative facts/media manipulation, colonialism, globalism, classism, and ribs on anarchy, communism, monarchism, and to a much quieter degree capitalism, so why not
Woke devs with TDS can't help themselves. Shoehorning in women empowerment with a non-sense plot. Yes, there was actual worker strikes and anarchists in 1800s, those are historically accurate theming for the game. Make the plot device better, or relate it to the women's sufferage movement, which did historically start in 1850s. Otherwise the whole thing just looks out of place.

Anno is such a life destroyer, it's a game you can play 12 hours a day for three months just to finish a long difficult game

You can get x3 of your income actually but at the expense of conquering all island and optimizing the sizes. I didn't buy yet the new dlc.

At 3:25 When you clicked on a building to measure its radius of influence. How did you get all the surrounding buildings to highlight in green?
It does it automatically. If it doesnt do it for you I have no idea why I’m afraid. I’m not using mods and didnt toggle any setting to make it happen.

For me it works when I hold down the Shift key after selecting a certain tier of housing.
