The soundtrack is specially designed to include the kinds of firework sounds that dogs tend to be the most frightened of (individual crackers and loud whines).
Back in 2009, one of our team member's family had a dog that was particularly stressed by fireworks. Being a teenager who was fascinated by both dogs and this new, cool website called TH-cam, he solved the problem by creating this very video; the original "Firework Sounds for Dogs" video. We still get feedback from happy dog friends about how Firework Sounds for Dogs has helped their best furry friends overcome their fear of fireworks. And while the video has a certain cute, nostalgic, almost "vintage TH-cam" quality to it, the audio still serves its purpose.
Start your training at least a few weeks before the fireworks will occur. Play this track at a low volume several times, before you gradually increase it. It is very important that you, the dog's best friend and pack leader, act normally and seem unaffected by the audio track. Remember that your dog will look to you to see if the firework sounds indicate any sort of danger. You may combine this with clicker-training or treats.

We tought my moms dog of 11 years! to not be afraid of fireworks again by 1) stop cuddling him or stroking him when the fireworks are playing cause he thinks it IS dangerous since mommy dog only cuddles or strokes when there is danger. When there is no danger she licks maybe once and looks up to show everything is good since she has no words 2) look away from him and out to the fireworks and enjoy it and feed him with some amazing titbits while doing so. I played this video to my puppy many times last year. By November 5th he was so used to the noises he was playing ball in our garden with my son while fireworks were banging and flashing from nearby gardens.

Træning før nytårsaften
I am sitting with my puppy watching TV and playing these sounds to her at a very low level. She is happily sleeping. Next time I will do them a little louder. She is not stressed by the sounds at all and I am hoping that by the time the real ones are unleashed on us in October/November she will not be phased by them at all.
Our dog didn´t care about the sound. But he was afraid that the dog in the film would steal his treats :)
Thanks for the vid. My dog is now perfectly calm at the highest sound level, where he would get nervous only two weeks ago at a little less than half of max. At least in my bedroom ;-) Now it is time to try in some other rooms (wuh, only four days til New Year - don't think we will make it perfectly).
I have also tried some other fireworks-files, but whether they are just bad for dog training or this video just have made Møffe relax, then he didn't bother at all.

Normally my dog runs around the entire house while panting heavily, hides under the coffee table, and shakes worse than a couple of newlyweds bed on their honeymoon. No reaction whatsoever to this.

Jacob Liu About the PTSD. Everything I've read about the PTSD syndrome from actual vets is that it isn't so bad when they know the event is going to take place. It's the surprise explosions that make them want to jump behind things. The clowns setting off unscheduled, illicit fireworks are the people that cause the trauma.

I realise this is late to start training your dog to get used to these sounds. But it's better late than never. My dog is currently laying down, resting her head on her paws. But she's looks kind of worried. The sound isn't very loud, but she's showing improvement already, though! Last time, she started to freak out a bit, when the sound were this loud :).

@GeorginaEa Perhaps you need to turn the volume up really loud? How about connecting to a big sound system? These are just suggestions.
