    AMAZING that this is free....usually you'd find this quality only on a paid course or something but this is a legit skill developer for FREE. Love you Justin, and love Eternity's End

    You epitomize the forward looking progressive guitar player who gives away all the tricks. People like you who are creating a whole new generation of serious axe masters. Your value is immeasurable thank you for all you do for the guitar playing community.

    a few weeks ago i started to separat the right hand picking pattern from the whole lick, the Gilbert lick for example.....and strangely and unfortunately enough i discovered that i wasnt able to play it as fast as the both-hand- version 😪,means....i was not playing clean before,right?! I remember you mentioning at Horst's that this separating the right hand is quiet challenging and thats so true.
    And yes,please, i would like to see more specific picking exercises because most of the time the picking hand seems to be the problem.
    Thank you,,Justin, Greetings from Kiel!

    I'll definitely work on this for a long time. My problem is when going faster my whole hand doesn't move down and I create an angle to reach lower 2 strings. It creates natural muting because of the pick angle, and mess up everything. I guess I should start from 40 bpm and focus on autonomy for hand movement?
    Nice exercise set!

    • @neonblack211
      @neonblack211 ปีที่แล้ว

      mabye focus on that problem then.... like playing one note on each string all the way up and all the way back down or try some string skipping exercises where your forced to work on those things

    • @yeserguitar
      @yeserguitar ปีที่แล้ว

      @@neonblack211 tbh I do those regularly, string skipping didn't help much for positioning but single note on each string has some value. But I cannot apply my findings in high bpm, which is the main reason I feel stuck. Once I pass 90-100 bpm 8ths my form is gone :D

    I love this one. I also like how versatile your workouts are. I applied hybrid picking, a weakness I’m working on lately, to this one too and it’s helped a lot. Thanks!

    Hey Justin! Amazing video as always. In this case, if I've only got 30min to practice on a day, would you recommend to work on this workout or on a specific lick im trying to get faster at?

    • @justin.hombach
      @justin.hombach  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would mix it up. This workout is a good picking all-rounder.
      So, for example do the one day workout and the next one the lick and so on :)

    I have a legit question, do you need to warm up less on the guitar before going on stage if you do squats and pushups before you start with the guitar warm up?

    • @ThorsShadow
      @ThorsShadow ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're not playing guitar with your legs, back or upper arms. You play with your hands/fingers. Get your muscles loose, stretch your arms/hands/fingers and play some stuff for 5 to 15 minutes.
      Trying to stretch or warm up muscles you don't use when playing guitar doesn't make any sense. I mean, seriously, squats? Huh? Where does that question come from? Honestly intrigued. Just logically speaking, you wouldn't warm up your legs, if you try to grab something with your hands. You know what I mean? Would love to understand your thought process.

      Ich kann mir nicht genau vorstellen was du meinst. Meinst du zu wenig Kraft im Finger?
      Bevor ich mit Technik anfange, würde ich die Saitenhöhe der Gitarre prüfen.

    • @mojicjohnson
      @mojicjohnson ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tusharjamwal Ja direkt die erste Übung im letzten Takt im 10. Bund auf der G Saite, da geht Justin mit den kleinen Finger runter bzw. drückt er ihn runter. Bei mir jedoch muss ich richtig drücken und der Ton erzeugt dennoch nicht ganz klar. Erst wenn ich wirklich wirklich feste drücke aber das erscheint mir falsch. Ich schätze die Saitenlage ist tatsächlich zu hoch.
