From what I remember, he stepped away from having an active role in Wendy’s for a bit, but wasn’t happy with how things were going so he came back in the 90s. He took me to Wendy’s one day and I remember him talking about how the quality of the food is what matters to him. He really did care. He also told me that he wanted me to be in a Wendy’s kid’s commercial, but I think my mom vetoed that lol.

@The Flying Dutchman I understand the ice keeps it cold longer, but the soft drink fountains already chill the drink, so the ice just waters it down and dulls the taste in my opinion. Also, nice to meet a fellow Canadian. I too live in canada, in BC to be exact. I love Canada.
I used to work fast food and I can tell you that you *really* don't want ice from a soda fountain... Matter of fact, you probably don't want the soda either. Trust me.
