Very informative video. I am an aggressive high density Avocado grower in Ventura County. However I could not do the 10X10 with Hass. I have a customer that had that spacing in about 5 acres, they planted them over 10 years ago, and they finally grafted the Hass over to GEM, the 10X10 just was not practical n their trial. They pruned sometimes up to 3 times per year to control growth. Good luck on your trial.
Gary I have read reports that claim that a high density orchard does not produce more than a normal density one. Also the report claims a drop in production on the 8th to 9th year
How many trees or acres of avocado do you have planted? I'm just wondering because I want to do the same but dont know how many trees to start with to make a good profit in the future years. thanks
@@beingcivilengineer94 I'm from South Indian. I've 7months older 80'plans..but I planted under silver Oak tree 10*10ft for siver Oak tree.. avacado trees are planting triangle shape bw under the silver Oak tree. it's good for avacado plant fruits settings
I have planted 10 by 12 along with Mahogany. Mahogany to Mahogany 20 feet and Avocado to Avocado 20 feet that means avocado to Mahogany 10 feet. Mahogany go straight so don't see any issue with 10 feet distance between tree

would using Bacon instead of Zutanos provide the same pollination benefit with a more tasty/marketable fruit?
How would you get a tractor into the orchard to spray or do other stuff?
