    Best course ever... listened to it at age 15 and it literally changed my life for the better, 100 times over. Now, if only I could find those tapes! To the poster, where is the rest of the series? :-)

      I didn’t post this but I do know that Nightengale Conant is the company that distributes Roger Dawson’s product.

      @@dwightdawson3578 thanks, yes I know that but they no longer prodice this series, so impossible to buy new. But I'm in luck, as I just found my tapes, and going to listen to them again with my 18-year old son... gotta keep the tradition going!

      Roger is my father, I grew up listening to this. His favorite is Earl Nightengale. He was very happy when he was told that Earl himself was doing the introduction heard at the beginning of this post.

    1. CRITERIA: What do they/you want out of the negotiation? What are both willing to do/accept?
    2. GATHER INFO: Gather all the information you can about the other side. Don't jump to conclusions.
    3. COMPROMISE: Find things they might see of value that you don't mind conceding on so both feel like they are winning and getting things you want.
    1. Understand negotiating is a two-way affair needing compromise from both sides. Don't forget the other side is responsible for negotiating too and it doesn't just fall on you. Mentally compensate for thinking you have the weaker side. See it's a level playing field.
    2. Desire to acquire the skills to succeed in negotiations.
    3. Understanding how these principles work.
    4. Willingness to practice techniques in small negotiations to be better in large ones.
    5. Finding win-wins where both sides end feeling good with outcome.
