table of contents and index is very usefull for me because i have tones of information along my notes taking for years. Now it is easy for me to find them for my books projects. focus to creative and quality production after having informations inside my commonplace books. It is like obsidian app. thanksss lot of. exucuse my week writing i am not native english language.

Oooh, love the idea of adding the margin at the ends of the pages! Having a common place book, even though I use small, thinner notebooks, has been difficult for me because I have to flip through all the information.
I tried the TOC (table of contents) method, but idk, it just didn’t work for me since one page can have multiple subjects/information.

Yes, I’ve definitely struggled with that in the past, too! I find it’s best to experiment to figure out what works best for you.

I like the Table Of Contents and will implement this in my MK journal, as I now have an idea how I want to use it. I would be all over the place with keys. I’m going to really try this along with sectioning out topics as you’ve shown (in the Field Notes).

Interesting ideas, thank you! As a lefty, left-hand margins are what I prefer.

Hmmn, I would think that you might prefer the opposite of me…right-sided margins. ☺️

@PlanYourOneLife I know what you mean, but it may be because I write underhanded, meaning I don't smudge my paper so much. Thx again for the good ideas! 😊
