    Please note that different states, curriculums and countries may have different names for various energy systems. For example, in Victoria the Lactic Acid system is known as the Anaerobic Glycolysis system. Please confirm with your teacher or lecturer and use this video as revision!

      What will happen if the requirements of the three energy systems of your body are not met

    • @PEBuddy
      @PEBuddy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, Abdul! Basically, your body will stop working! The 3 systems would continue producing ATP until their respective fuel sources ran out OR there was not enough time to replenish fuel sources. Usually this doesn’t happen as our bodies are incredible at finding and using fuel!

    • @waynelynch1755
      @waynelynch1755 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PEBuddy hi, and thank you for replying to me. After the practical assessment that you put together in a role play for the exam, the pt will ask you how would you program a esd session for a client. It's just 1 od the questions that is put to you so the trainer knows that you have an understanding of esd nd how to program a session for a client based on this.

    • @waynelynch1755

      @@PEBuddy I watched that video over and over nd helped a lot with the understanding. The only thing I'm not comprehending or not quite figuring out is how to use this when putting together an aerobic program for a client.

    • @PEBuddy
      @PEBuddy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your reply! So by ESD I assume you’re referring to energy system development. This is all about improving the efficiency of an energy system or all 3 depending on your goals or sport. When answering questions about ESD, ensure you understand the time and intensities the each energy system is the dominant supplier of ATP. Then, using this information, design a program with activities and exercises that stress each of these factors to improve them. For example, to improve the efficiency of the Aerobic system you might do long interval training such as 10x200m sprints, allowing 1 minute recovery. The next session you might do 10x200m sprints with 45 seconds recovery. The reduced recovery time forces adaptation over time and improves the efficiency and performance of Aerobic system. This principle can be applied to all 3 energy systems. I hope that helps answer your questions, Wayne! Mr D

    How does exercise affects each of these

    • @PEBuddy
      @PEBuddy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! To a certain extent, exercise will change the efficiency of this process of producing energy and change the interrelationship between all 3 energy systems (Although mostly the Lactic Acid and Aerobic systems). Exercise may increase the time/intensity that these systems can produce energy for.

    • @PEBuddy
      @PEBuddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris, thanks for your comment. Well if you think about it, when exercising, changes in the 3 energy systems will be based on their fuel sources and consequent byproducts and ‘waste products.’ ATP = nothing noticeable/ATP depletion, LA = decrease in performance due to increased acidity in the muscles, Aerobic = increased respiratory rate (breathing) and heart rate. Hope that helps!
