I had epic success at Goodwill! I filled 2 carts worth of vintage finds in one thrifting trip, then turned around and did it again the next day! Check out my haul! To visit my ebay store: www.ebay.com/s...
I just found your channel. There are so many wonderful TH-cam channels, but yours really speaks to my decorating style. I grew up in CT and now live in MA, so I love the local references.
You should keep the Noritake set! It looks so beautiful in your dinning room. You can always find a place to store it. Trust me when I tell you that you will always long for this if you sell it.
Only three sets I have 15. I use all of them different ones each day for each meal. Please keep it. It looks so beautiful with your beautiful wallpaper.
The apple pie platter can be used as a water dish for birds outside. It is good for a little bird bath. Don't have to put a lot water in it. Great video.
Went to the Hamden goodwill today. They had a pink floral limits dinnerware set. No cups but beautiful. Thought of you . I did pick up a Lenox egg tree. Beautiful. 9.99
Sounds like you picked up some good finds, especially the Lenox egg tree! I almost went to the Hamden Goodwill today, but I had a change of plans. Maybe I would have seen you there!
I agree with everyone else that you should keep the Noritake set that you displayed on your dining room table. Such an elegant and beautiful set that works in your dining room so well. I think you will regret it if you let it go. I’m sure you could find a little nook to store it.
Oh boy, I'm definitely feeling enabled (and I'm HERE FOR IT!) I've listed the set, but the sell through rate isn't great except the teapot - which already sold!
Thank you so much! That's very kind of you to say. You know what the best part is when you drive by my house? You can't see the vacuum cleaner randomly hanging out inside it! 😂😂
That red with white Noritake dinner set is stunning and I envision it on a red damask tablecloth - and with the beautiful red and crystal dish sitting on your side table as a centerpiece - Gorgeous! And when something is THAT right - Yes, I really think you should keep it.
Love the table set with that exquisite China…Stunning! You always find such lovely things. I just came back from my Goodwill….. $98 before taxes….OMG!! I should have stayed home!😂
I also heard that there's one in Plainville, which isn't far from me at all! I'm so glad to know that I can still go there. (Silly, isn't it? Can't help it - I love Agway!)
I had similar canisters in copper when i first got married. KEEP the Nortaki china it is perfect for your dining room; or at least use it once for a dinner party. Glad to see you buying Nortaki china. They have so many beautiful patterns and such a variety of serving pieces. Love your crocheted tablecloth. Is it a family piece? So glad to have found your videos, love your format.😊
I bet the cannisters were really beautiful in copper! I would probably keep the Noritake set if there were 10 or more place settings. Six is a tricky number. I purchased the tablecloth at Brimfield this past spring! I'm glad you like it!
I just recently subscribed to your channel. My taste is a bit more rustic, shabby....but I LOVE dishes, so your channel is definitely a good choice for me. I am working on a mix n' match set of floral plates for Spring & Summer. My Fall/Winter is mix n' match transfer ware in browns & greens. So much fun. Anyway, i just wanted to say I am very much enjoying your channel. Definitely moved right into my "don't skip" list.
I've always wanted to walk along the river there, but I haven't gotten to it yet. It's on "the list." I definitely recommend Tate's if you're looking for somewhere to go. This sounds gross, but the tuna nachos were AMAZING.
Those white with green flowers you call Crazy Daisy are Corelle Moss Green. I had those as my dishes for my apartment in the 70s (MCM) and my mother had the same for the rest of her life.
I didn't mean it wasn't real, just that it was not the Limoges made in France that I tend to collect. I can appreciate that my comment sounded misleading.
This is always my problem, too. I seem to be so excited that I miss those little chips on dishes. Even feeling around the edges still somehow misses damage at times. Ugh! But there have been times that dishes are wrapped, and the tape or plastic wrap conceals damage inside. I'm not bold enough enough to remove said tape and plastic wrap for damage inspection while still in the store. And if there is damage, what do I do, just leave the mess on the shelf? 😮
You sound EXACTLY like me - I don't like to remove it either. It's so awkward, right? And then I feel like I'm breaking the rules or making a mess. THANK YOU for validating my feelings! Imagine if we went thrifting together - we would come home with all kinds of sad friends! 😂 (But I bet we would still have fun!)
I'm downsizing and folks here in Ky don't seem to care about blue willow. I had the ones marked with the indented USA and the ones from Japan (googled imaged them), I just sold 2 creamers, sugar with top, bunch of 13 plates saucers (all perfect) and 8 cups for $10 at the 127 yard sale.
Ouch! That's a low price for such a pretty pattern. (I hope the yard sale was a success!) I don't expect to make big money for my plates either, although Johnson Brothers tends to do pretty well for me.
I love all your hauls. Maybe I am pulling your legs. "The pink- rim Noritake set matches with your pink Limoge set". Anyway, the Noritake set do give an air of elegance. The pink signifies, like red, richness.
@@WorthingtonHome I recently visited the Sandwich Glass museum in MA and the Corning glass museum in NY. The answer to my question about the most difficult color to get right is pink. If done wrong, the color turns brownish. In pottery, bright pink coloration is hard to find too.
Hello! Eric makes a lot of the boxes that we use out of boxes we get from deliveries. He tends to get cranky when I ask him to ship bigger things like large platters and tureens because the require more creative boxing solutions, so I try to avoid picking them up. (Sometimes I do anyway - don't tell him!) 😂😂
I threw away the original set of 3 silver inherited canisters from the 50s or 60s that had the rectangular signs on them because one was missing the round black top. A friend accidentally threw away the top that was on the counter when helping me pack. I had it separated when washing that particular one. I kept the BIG bread box, that I now have no idea what I will do with it. I thought I could use it for something else. Not sure what. I have a new ceramic canister set including bread box. So???
Oh no! Moving is tough in terms of losing things. (This is from a girl who has moved a lot). Maybe you can use the old bread box to store other kinds of things? Old photos or spices or even some small Christmas ornaments?
Have you ever heard of Museum Putty? It is a mounting putty used to keep things in place. You might need to use a lot depending on how strong your cats are!
I've heard of it, but I was always afraid it would leave a grease mark or cause some other kinds of potential damage. Have you had that experience or am I being silly and paranoid?
I just found your channel. There are so many wonderful TH-cam channels, but yours really speaks to my decorating style. I grew up in CT and now live in MA, so I love the local references.
That noritake set looks beautiful laid out on your table it would be so elegant for thanksgiving dinner ❤❤❤
You should keep the Noritake set! It looks so beautiful in your dinning room. You can always find a place to store it. Trust me when I tell you that you will always long for this if you sell it.
I'm very tempted, but I already have three full sets of china! What the heck is wrong with me? I have a porcelain addiction, that's for sure.
Only three sets I have 15. I use all of them different ones each day for each meal. Please keep it. It looks so beautiful with your beautiful wallpaper.
I do have an addiction to china. But I have absolutely no more room. I will have to give one away if I find something I can’t live without.
Oh you should really keep the china that matches your wallpaper! Beautiful 🤩
The Mikasa pastel floral china was my favorite 🤩
Looks very nice you must keep it!

Goodwill isn't necessarily cheap, that's for sure. Did you get anything good?
Always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing and taking us along. ♥️
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos!
Absolutely must keep that Noritake dinner set. It matches your wallpaper!!! I love it!!!
Haha! Then you don't think I'm nuts for matching china to my wallpaper?
OMG your Goodwill prices are wonderful. You are so blessed.
I was lucky on that particular day. Prices can vary quite a bit around here. It's so fun to find some treasures!
Agway is still in Manchester not sure if the one in Portland is still open. Great haul I think my favorite is the lamp reminds me of my Aunt

I stand corrected. I looked these up, and it goes by multiple names. So carry on!
@@vallabore980 Whatever we call them, they are a super fun pattern! I love that both you and your mother had them! 💕💕
That particular plate of American limoges you said it was not real is priced at $19.99 at Replacements Ltd.

Great haul, the canisters are neat! There are two Agways left in CT, one in Ellington and the other in Plainfield.
I didn't know that! Plainfield isn't that far from me! Thanks for letting me know. I miss going there!
It's Plainfield not Planville! Not close to you at all but about 61 miles away. lol
@@stephenholmes5362 thanks for the correction!
That smaller plate is also called a dessert plate.
That would make sense. Thanks So much for the info!
We had the bread box to match your canisters.
I've never seen the bread box before - I bet it was a great piece!
