I saw White Lion in 1988 with Vito And Tramp And the boys, outdoors at an amusement park in the summertime, great show when i was in my early 20's...great time to be alive, no worries, no problems, just fun.
Yeah I saw them to that year, but in Jackson Mississippi and the Mississippi Colosseum. I can't remember though.
I saw them open for KISS on Crazy Knights Tour in November-1987.....a little while before anyone knew who they were.

Saw them in 87 at a small club in Dallas west end. All ready was a huge fan of the band and Vito, also saw TNT that same year open for Stryper, Ronni Le Tekro is another 80’s master on another level.

Saw them live in Athens, Greece that year. I’m glad that I was there and the concert was AMAZING. These guys deserved a chance. Their album was great and their white lion covers were amazing. Mikes solo albums are great too and I’m happy that he is doing what he loves. I Support his music all the way

This was our breakaway song on the USS Valley Forge. Played on the ships loudspeakers when breaking away from the fuel/supply ship. We had the latest, at the time, phased array radar system for tracking any and everything on the surface and in the air. Pretty badass! Our CO, the now deceased Admiral Lockhart loved it.

An X guitar student of mine , on lead guitar ... JAMIE BLACKIE LAW .... Playing the " rock star " role quite well ...... He is no Vitto , but he is a very well rounded ROCK player .... ( he did 6 years in a LED ZEP cover band) and is a great vocalist ( he fronted my last rock band .. SONIC MUSEUM , as lead vocalist , he also strapped on a guitar occasionally ) .. great fun ...

@@josephnichwander4975I'm 68 next week, but 5 years ago, we made a stab at this particular version, mixing some golden earring in, and threw in a few more " whatever the hell sounded good", ( had done the golden earring version before) and as garbage can as my playing is, it worked great! I never planned on playing lead, just an A banger that done vocals, but I got stuck with it, and have done something's I never imagined I could pull off! We didn't have tablature or lick for luck instructions, but get the lesson for highway Star , flying high, electric eye, and symphony of destruction, in that order, work on them in pieces, learn where you are going, and the best tip i ever got was, in your mind, invision yourself playing a lead that you already have down. Easy now invision one you are working on, but don't have down .. you can't.
But getting it straight in your mind as you go, you Will find that you can do what you see yourself doing. Not a bunch of zen bullshit.
( I ignored it till I hit a few dead ends). Find out or map where you're going, see it play it. Good luck

Phenomenal playing. No it will never be the same again without James, Greg or Vito but the show must go on. Bands do it all the time. They get new singers, guitarists, bass players and drummers. They manage to play their older music and people still love their music and attend their concerts period. It's not a new concept or the end of the world. It's never the same but still great!

I'll give them the thumbs up but that's because I really like this song and they do a good job of an Iconic Sons by an even more Iconic group. A whole bunch of us went to see Golden Earring many many years ago at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago at a concert that they were announcing on the radio as not sold out and instead of paying $12.00 you could get in for $8.00 and it ranks as one of the top four concerts I have ever seen and I've been to maybe 150 or mor concerts. (I went to 6 in 7 days one time. It was rough but loved it) Anyway they just blew everyone who went to this concert away, it was incredible the way they rocked that place, Which has always been my favorite venue. And the way they just keep the beat of the music going on and on and on as it happened that night and I don't remember how it happened as I was so into the music but about fifty of the chairs up front ended up smashed flat to the floor and up front is where we all were it was that same way the night we saw Rainbow there also. It's as though you are in a Musical Dream (both concerts) as the music just continues on and on and on as all this shit is going on but you don't even realize it as your mind is being teased by the music as your eyes are locked onto what's happening on the stage. It's only when a concert like this is finally over and you realize you need to breath and you look around and see what's happened and happening that it comes to you what a fantastic concert that you just saw and that not much else is going to top it that night anyway. Not that I haven't topped that and that's why it's in the top four maybe five as it makes me think back. And a part of why these times probably won't be happening any more is that you can't hardly light up a joint any more at a night time concert as security sees a flame and anybody smoking they are all over you. Might get away with at an outdoor day concert such as this one. The other MAIN reason is the dieting out of Rock and Roll and Rock concerts. You will never see the day again when you can go see a different killer band in a hundred mile radius each night over the coarse of a week so that's why this show right here looked pretty good to me.

Wow, about few years before this i watched Mike do a White Lion show in a small club in Australia, two hundred tops, a guy i know from KISS cover band played bass. Got all my albums signed, even the rare first album that was ditched by their first record company. I remember Mike saying "Wow, i dont even have copy of this album.

Wow. Mike Tramp -- hugely underrated frontman. This guitar player is perfect. You may love Vitto -- but he just wasn't motivated. So what good is all that talent in his living-room. If he had pushed like Tramp did, and really applied himself consistently like Tramp -- White Lion would be playing to Arenas right now all over the damn world. It's a shame. Tramp should take this band and release a great record, and play in festivals, Fairs and other large venues. Playing a lot of tiny clubs kills their image.

This band came across on a much more potent level in a club setting when they had Craig Diangelo on drums who came up with a lot of these drum parts and fills. I remember seeing them at a club called LAMOURS where they wrote a lot of songs for those albums.
