Amazing how many cars people have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on and yet they don't bother attending to little things like working dome light, gas gauge, horn, speedo, etc. On the classic cars I've owned, anything not working properly would drive me nuts!

All right so I have a legitimate question. Why would you not upgrade the brakes on an older car? I understand the desire to keep things authentic but at the same time I want to be able to stop LOL.
Can you imagine what a 57 chevy sport coupe sold for brand new. maybe. $2.200 to $3.300. Today you could not afford to take a test drive in that amazing car.
I love this one, but I'd want a candy apple red with many layers of clearcoat. Maybe some red pearl added.

I think that sound is the water pump. I've had the exact same thing happen and sound like that right out of the box , brand new. Great car.

Gear drive instead of a timing chain.
This is one of those that you have to slam the door on your thumb (twice) in order to properly drive.

The closer the car gets to being done, the more people nit pick! They have No idea of what it takes to get it here. If it were perfect would hit the 90k mark. This is a 40k car for sure signals dome light or not..

I would have put in a 5 or 6 speed gearbox with overdrive in it instead of that 4 speed.
Noise in engine compartment needs addressed

Sounds like the bearings and alternator are shot where the water pump who knows.
I’m sorry it’s very nice but it’s not worth 40 grand especially singing the way it is and no gauges or wipers and oil leaks and all the play in that steering wheel
